I'm allowed one portion of dairy a day [ not my decision ] so I have a small piece of cheese , but the absence of butter .......

Well I've screwed up this Fast like you can't believe....seriously. I've pretty much fallen apart and broken every dang part of this. Y'all would be ashamed of this sinner!

We all screw up ! I used to get such tellings off about not forgiving myself when I slipped up - I still do .

Parts of my 'discipline' I have kept - other bits - don't even go there.

Can't say I'm looking forward to meeting with my Confessor on Lazarus Saturday

At the end of last week, I found myself fantasizing about the food I'm going to be eating at Pascha. Habanero peppers stuffed with chicken, wrapped in bacon, covered in BBQ sauce and grilled. Mmmmmm.

I'm not fantasising ......... yet

I'm not involved in the Pascha breakfast - but oh boy I do know it will be simply wonderful - and with us it will be a cold buffet as we can't cook on the premises for the Church we will be in. We move from the Oratory as it can't hold the numbers. But oh - how those ladies of the Community can cook

I made my kulich today (Easter cake) to put in the freezer for Pascha.

When I melted the butter for the recipe and took a whiff, I nearly swooned.
