  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, are Yall ready for another Hurricane season.? I am from a small town called “Bell” in north Florida. Moved from Miami in 1986. Raised in down town Miami, Hialeah, Kendal Drive, Perrine, and Davie. I remember when Flamingo Drive was just a dirt road. My dad and I would hunt out there. I got married in a house my dad built out in Davie. I went there 3 years ago and found the house my dad built. WOW! I could not believe how it has built up. Flamingo Drive is a 4 lane highway now.:o

My dad grew up on Flamingo until he was about seven or eight. Then my family moved to Memphis. My uncle visited Miami in recent years and said their house still looks the same pretty much. Never been there myself.

lol 2 eyes ...

I've never been through one single hurricane yet ... but that's only because I just moved here a year ago from California ...

But honestly I'm actually excited and looking forward to a hurricane ... because in California I always loved extreme weather ... and I was always dissapointed because I felt like California didn't have extreme - enough weather for me ... so now here in Florida we get lightning storms and hurricanes plus our weather seems to be on a constant case of PMS ... so it's much more exciting to me than dull California lol
