Doing as the Romans do would mean refraining from whatever activity it is that causes one to face any negative reactions, unlocking course one is a Christian then it PERSECUTION.

Black people should write about their lives like everybody else. But once they talk about what its like to be black in America, well thats just too radical. Kids might read it and develop an impression that not everyone has been or is treated equally under the law and culture.

Or the kids might get the impression that those black people who do not succumb to a victim mentality can be just as successful, and respected as anyone else.

Since Florida won't tell us what the objectionable material is, Popular Information looked at the textbooks in question and tried to determine the banned content. Maybe they did a bad job, maybe they did a good job, but without any further information from the state, this is the most I've seen from the actual texts.
