Why would I think verse 15 is about Jesus? (I don't think 13 or 14 are about him either.)
OK, so you don't contest the prophesy.
A regular child would.
Bingo. Since Jesus was God and not a regular child, it should be easy to see it doesn't fit
It's "curds" not butter, and apparently it was a food for small children.
So that doesn't tell us much. Nothing in there to tell us the verse is about Jesus.
Sure it does if it is about ...
Yet you made no case to have verse 15 fit Jesus. Nor has anyone else. Once again, much ado about nothing
Bingo. The whole thing from verse 13-16 is about a young woman at court having a child and something else happening why that child is still small.
No. A virgin having a God Fathered baby as the sign from God is what it is about.

verses 13-16 contain a claimed prophesy issued in the court of king Ahaz about what would happen in the next few years. I have no way of knowning if the text was recorded before or after the foretold events happened.

Except the only verses dealing with Jesus I see are the prophesies in verse 13-14. That is what the New Testament quotes as well. Like special gems in the middle of a chapter that foretell wondrous things that came true. It is insulting to see someone try to tack on another verse that is not part of the prophesy to try to make it look wrong.

There is no ethics or morality without the Christian perspective as much as you might like to squash or make it go away. There is a word for ethics without God - wickedness.
I disagree and it worries me when a person is unable to see goodness if it does not have the correct label.

Yeah, all that but;

The Hebrew word used is "shachah" (שְׁחָה) that means "to bow down" or "to prostrate oneself," signifying reverence and submission.

I don’t do that to anything. So there’s that.

I personally don't think it would ever happen even if Jesus' return wasn't for another 10,000 years. Maybe a few people on the Moon, kind of like how people spend months on the ISS. The challenges of doing that on Mars are, in my opinion, insurmountable. So, to answer your question, yes, I believe it's a waste of money and not God's will for humanity.

If new empires arise, I'd hope they would see the need to improve life on earth rather than build tourist traps on Mars.

The text offers no evidence that the author wrote any thing about Jesus.

He lied about scientists worshiping the universe.
Nah mate, the universe is their 'god', and always has been ever since the sickening 'Space race' when the US and Russia tried to outdo each other by giving 'offerings' to it like big cash and animal sacrifices (many animals died up there, for example google 'Russian dog Laika')

Are all animals used for research victims of sinister sacrifices to other gods or just those used for space exploration research?

Ah, but launching animals into space served no useful purpose, and was done just for US and Russian national pride, prestige and vanity..

Most of the people who ran the space race in the US were Christians, as were about 90% of the population at the time.

I have no interest in viewing the universe as a god. What use would I have for a god?

As you didn’t answer here’s the question again:
Are all animals used for research victims of sinister sacrifices to other gods or just those used for space exploration research?

I really, really, really don't see why God is any more deserving of being worshiped than the universe is. Why is 'It' worthy of having animals sacrificed in Its name? Why is It worthy of having trillions of dollars spent on buildings so that people can come and grovel at Its feet? Why is It worthy of killing people over? Why is It worthy of condemning people over?

The difference escapes me.

1- Would true Christians fire animals into space?
2- God invites us all to that big party in the sky, but you don't have to come if you don't want..
Jesus said- "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son...he told his servants- go out and invite to the banquet anyone you find" (Matt 22:2)

I see no conflict between Christianity and participation in research on the effects of space travel. What’s the issue?

I was briefly a lab assistant, and one of my duties was to pop mice into a gas jar to kill them for dissection, but after killing the first one I thought "I ain't doing this no more" and walked out in disgust.
PS- let me introduce you to Henry who visits my desktop for peanuts I leave out for him, RODENT LIVES MATTER..
