The KJV talks about God bringing people from the depths of the earth. When I asked you how deep the earth was you said that the deepest hole ever dug was 40,000 feet + - your words.
Several threads ago, you said that the flat disc of the earth was suspended within a square - the 4 corners were " further out" you said. Your words.
I'm glad you now recognise that they were rubbish.
But it doesn't mention how our brains were made either - does that mean that you don't have one?
Nope too easy. Has to be bait. The brain is not mentioned once, whereas the heart is cited 826 times. I suppose God thought the heart was more important than the brain, just like the earth, moon, sun, stars & the firmament were more important than the Universe & 2...... cus there ain't one
I was just picking a round number. It's after book publishing. I could have said since Caesar was killed on the Ides of March. Point still stands. Why 1500 AD ?

Did you get that flat earth map with longitude and latitude? We were taught in school about Columbus & that before Columbus sailed the seas people believed the earth was flat and would fall of the edge. I remember saying to myself at the time, 'how could people believe such a thing, that the earth was flat' from there on (for some reason) this has always played on my mind.
Moving on a few years I met this guy who explained to me how the earth was flat & he even drew a picture for me with the surrounding ice ring that would stop us sailing off the edge, so I began to research flat earth & when I read Genesis 1, well, this just blew my mind away.
This is when I started to believe that every word of God was true & the rest is history.
So I know how you feel & think about someone who believes the earth is flat & how hard it is to take them serious.
But never mind, maybe some day you too will see the light.
Just quoting your own words - not my fault if they sound ridiculous.Get a grip.
My point was that @d taylor seemed to suggest that there is no universe because there is no mention of it in Genesis 1.The brain is not mentioned once, whereas the heart is cited 826 times. I suppose God thought the heart was more important than the brain, just like the earth, moon, sun, stars & the firmament were more important than the Universe & 2...... cus there ain't one
And you can laugh all you like, but the sun, moon, stars, planets etc are in the universe.
Well, what word(s) do you use for Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune (or do you say that they don't exist either?)There is no Solar System, when I was a kid I used to ask 'whats at the end of space' & no one could ever answer me', but God did.
God created everything that we have today; that includes the solar system and the universe. There is no Solar System, when I was a kid I used to ask 'whats at the end of space' & no one could ever answer me', but God did.

That these aren't mentioned in Genesis 1 does not mean that they do not exist - in the same way that your brain is not mentioned in Genesis 1.
a) why do you need to know and why does anything have to be at the end of it?So whats at the end of your universe ?
You mean "wandering", and it is strange that you use the terminology the pagan Greeks came up with before anyone developed the telescope and discovered what they really were. They are not planets they are wondering stars.
Who says so? I know you do, but on what basis? You see, our word "planets" comes from asters planetai, ancient Greek for “wandering stars.” Such ancient languages defined a star as any luminous object in the sky other than the sun and the moon. They are not planets they are wondering stars.
a) why do you need to know and why does anything have to be at the end of it?
b) what has this got to do with whether or not there is a universe?
Or can't you answer the things that I pulled you up on and this is your way of changing the subject?

The Bible doesn't tell us everything; it's not a science textbook.
Your argument seems to be that it doesn't mention the word universe, so there isn't one.
But it doesn't mention how our brains were made either - does that mean that you don't have one?
Bible was not written by God.The brain is not mentioned once, whereas the heart is cited 826 times. I suppose God thought the heart was more important than the brain, just like the earth, moon, sun, stars & the firmament were more important than the Universe & 2...... cus there ain't one
