Still sticks you to the ground, doesn't it?
I've only seen them in England, but they're everywhere there.
Sorry, but it was not. Do you stone adulterers? Do you keep sabbath? Do you sacrifice the fat of animals? Do you bless people who will crush the heads of the children of your enemies?Sorry but it was all written for all of the people to read.

Because the Greco-Roman mythology is the traditional way to name astronomical objects or things related to space programs. Why do you reckon that NASA called their spaceships Apollo ?
The universe does contain the sun, moon, stars and planets too - and by the way, the word is wandering, not wondering - but these are not contained within planet earth. Why is it ?
I don't know much about astronomy but it would be very difficult to teach you anyway, since you seem certain that anything remotely scientific or connected with space, is obviously false.
Because the gas of higher density is pulled down more by gravity causing the less dense balloon to be pushed up until it reaches a point in the atmosphere where the air has the same density, at which point the upward push of the more dense air is no longer enough to overcome the force of gravity. Not a balloon tho
I don't think so, just had his quote disappearWrong thread![]()
Does Tesco even operate in North America? I only recall seeing their stores in Europe.
I've only seen them in England, but they're everywhere there.
I'm afraid that sniggering about a fact that is so well known that even my 7-year-old great-nephew could tell you about it, shows nothing more than ignorance. That's b/c it is, the earth orbits the sun![]()
I have no intention of playing silly word games with you.Have you looked up the name Apollo yet ?
Its not strange. Greco-Roman culture is the root culture of Europe and therefore the Greek and Latin languages are traditional languages of science.Greek for sun is Helios, strange we use the word Heliocentrism![]()
Greek for earth is "γη" from where we get "geo" as in "geology", "geography" and "geocentrism".Greek for sun is Helios, strange we use the word Heliocentrism![]()
The ancient Greeks considered him the god of healing, medicine, archery, music, dance, poetry, prophecy, knowledge, light and (gasp) the sun.Have you looked up the name Apollo yet ?

Oh don't be stupid.Gravity has never been proven.
You just can't give up Eric "the idiot, and anti Christian" Dubay, can you!Dropbox

The stupidity of this is that it needs gravity to work.
Are you going to dismiss medicine because much of the terminology has its origins in Greek?
