Lies, all lies. There is no such thing as a light year, as it has no real application to the Biblical Earth. This is made-up deception, people.

The sun is not a star. Read God's Word. Stars are stars, and so-called "planets" are the largest, brightest stars. They are the wandering stars, considering they move in different pathways instead of a fixed rotation like the smaller stars. Look up at the sky at night and you can actually see them move if you have the patience to stay there for a couple hours. That said, you can see them move across the sky at times. The solid-like pictures you see are straight up trickery from a computer. Do you ever wonder why we now get these so-called photos, when all we got were artist recreations prior to the last couple decades? It's because the technology or software wasn't advanced enough to make such images. In fact, some of the earlier "pictures" of the Earth were nothing but paintings.

Andromeda is out of an artist's imagination.

Galaxies don't exist. The Jesuits and Masons have been involved in astronomy, or fooling the masses, whether intended or not, for many centuries.

You need to do your research.

I have done my research. Enough to know that are your claims are complete and utter nonsense.

Sounds like a star to me, regardless of your claims to the contrary.

Again, we go back to elementary school and high school level science. No one denies that the planets move across the sky during the night, but they do so on the ecliptic, which is the same path as the moon. That's why they always appear to move along the same path.

One more time: The planets are *not* stars. They don't even fit the definition of one, which I posted above. Mercury is not a star. Jupiter is not a star. Pluto is not a star. If you want to claim differently, I can't stop you, but I will call you out on that claim as being false.

And I know Andromeda is real, contrary to your opinion. I've seen it myself. All the other galaxies are real too.

The universe is a lot bigger than you seem to think it is. So, who do I choose to believe? The men and women who have dedicated their lives to furthering man's knowledge. I can't help it if you don't like the answers they've found, which includes the fact that the earth is a sphere and there is no dome covering the earth.

I also can't help it if you can't accept the answer that the sun is a star and is 92.96 million miles away, and that the spherical earth completes one revolution around the sun every 365 days, give or take a day, accounting for leap years.

Listen, I used to teach this stuff. I know it. However, these ideas are fallacious, in my opinion. Who in their right mind can say for a fact that the sun is made up of such and such gases? Who in their right mind knows any of this? Has anyone actually gone to the sun and done an experiment? Not possible given the heat.

They do move across the night sky. I'm glad that you acknowledge that. They do generally have a certain path. That is true, too. However, doesn't our own sun have a path too, as indicated in the Bible by use of the word "circuit"? Of course it does, so what's the difference? The wandering stars, hijacked to become "planets", are not terra firma. Video proves that they're lights in the sky.

If the sun is more than 3,000 miles away by 3 pm and is only 150 miles up, then it should already be within 3 degrees of the horizon.

Also, it should appear to be only 5% of the size that it appeared at noon.

Could you please confirm that neither of these things are true at 3 pm when you look up at the sun? That it is much closer to 40 degrees above the horizon and looks to be exactly the same size as it was at noon?

Its written in the last days God will pour out His spirit on ALL flesh. And we know God rains on the just and unjust. There are people in this world from past to now that GOD has given them great wisdom and they are NOT believers. So to think every scientist on this planet that know this world is round and all agreeing as ONE to with hold the real truth. To then think there has NEVER been a man on this planet that has not tried to go around this world.. just wow.

And people really believe EVERY video is fake. That no one has been up there. Man I still remember my friend on his roof showing me Saturn. Saw it and the moons.. wow...so cool. Were on a Christian site.. where I am PRAYING you KNOW GOD is real right? Please.. please tell me I am NOT the only one that can just ask Him?

Lol I just the other day watching a video where someone posted.. dont be deceived. The world does not spin. Everything else is spinning. Jesus told us not to be deceived..... So I lovingly reminded him deceived was about JESUS not about if the planet is spinning or not. And to me.. I know about this..but.. it wont get me in to heaven to see and be with my Father. So PRAISE GOD!

but
realize more people believed the earth is flat,
than not,
up until relatively recently...

and, even stranger : today - people believe other things that are even more bizarre and unable to be true.
(not just a few people - no. the Bible says the whole world TODAY is deceived).
so
"flat earth" is really relaxing comparatively , and for fun .........

No because the sun is not the same size at noon than it is when it moves away. It appears smaller.

This is totally separate than a flat earth.
The bible says the earth is flat, which most people historically believed , until recently.
and
The bible says the earth was created, and nothing after that , nor within that, says anywhere that the earth moves.(does it?).

Note for reference, it may depend on your POV point of view. Einstein and dozens of other top rated scientists all agree there is no proof anywhere that the earth moves -
only that it "appears to move" relative to everything else - BUT that it is possible that the earth is stationary, as the Bible says, and that everything else moves to make it "APPEAR" that the earth moves ---
mathematically, geocentric or other-centric (earth stationary; or earth moving)
EITHER ONE is possible - it simply depends on POV. See ?

Anyway, flat earth and geocentric solar system are two separate things - one not proven to too many people's satisfaction, and one proven possible BY the mathematical geniuses/ scientists who have analyzed it all.

Just for fun, I did some math. Here are the positions of the sun at various points in time in Atlanta, today (to the nearest one arc degree). Feel free to go outside an check these yourself.

And next to each one, is the horizontal distance away that the sun would have to be in order to appear where it does in the sky according to the flat earth model you propose, if the sun is 150 miles, 200 miles, 1000 miles, or 4000 miles above the Earth, respectively. Please choose one, and then explain how the listed distances fit your model - or what assumption I have made that is incorrect.
