  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well isn't that interesting, I can't copy and paste as it is a copyrighted site but I went to look it up to give a link and now Google is saying it's a 4 hour and 20 minute flight.

When a page can not be copied, do a screen shot.

How does it not make sense?
Forgive me. It's a quibble. I was thinking there ARE no straight lines on a globe, but the quotation marks should allow for that, still... since on a globe the line isn't straight, it's just "straight", shouldn't projecting it change it along with everything else?

But from Philadelphia to Branson MO. it is 17 hours to drive, but 10 hours 20 minutes to fly.

Not true. If you fly United, it's 2 hours 30 minutes Philadelphia to Chicago O'Hare (which is a little out of the way), and then 1 hour 30 minutes to Branson. Total flying time about 4 hours, but you're wasting at least an hour on the detour and the unnecessary landing and takeoff, and you're not on the same kind of aircraft as to Miami Beach. So not really surprising.
