Do any of you feel that somehow your age is a total mistake? I am now officially half way through the 50's and I feel like I don't match my age. I am fortunate enough to be healthy - jog and do other vigorous exercise every day, have a lot of energy, just a few silver hairs sprinkled decoratively on my head, no wrinkles, no medical conditions, haven't even started menopause yet. I almost hesitate to join anything in my age group because everyone is constantly talking about their aches and pains, how tired they are, and they all seem to go to bed at 9.
But if I hang out with 40 or 30 year olds, the technology hits me in the face - I don't do Facebook, "tweet", have an IPOD, cannot work a digital camera, and of course remember events that are history to them.
At some point, I seemed to be on the same wavelength as everyone else my age, but it is as though they took a turn in one direction and I went the other way.
