Your understanding of love is limited to emotion only. Gods love is a way of life, not merely an emotion.

So your "spiritual sight" isn't really a sight...it's a way of life?

When you conceptualize this "way of life" how do you do it? With words? With pictures? Or is it all emotional?

I´m still not sure what the point is in hammering in that you have special knowledge you can´t share.
Are you complaining about your misfortune?
Do you ask for our sympathy? (Yes, must be a tough situation to be in!)
Are you assuming that telling people "I have special knowledge" results in them believing you that you have special knowledge?
Or what?

Its not special knowledge. It only takes a spiritual person to receive it, to see its value. I'm sorry, you're correct, there isnt much point discussing it further.

So you could communicate it if you wanted to....we just won't believe in this "knowledge" because we aren't spiritual like you?

It seems like we've gone from some esoteric special knowledge that requires a certain mindset to even comprehend...to ordinary everyday religious beliefs.

Great thread.

I´m a super-meta-spiritual person - too bad you are stuck with ordinary spirituality. Take that! ;)

Im just a man who came to a Christian web sight and got mocked by non Christians trolls. Nothing more to it than that. Have a nice day, and thank you. :)

A thread designed to tell non-Christians that they are fish who won´t evolve doesn´t seem to be the best place to complain about being mocked as a Christian.

Look at what you are doing. You are here, a Christian website, mocking my Christian beliefs. In effect its you who are thinking that you're better than me. What compels you to come here and argue about something you dont believe in? Does it make you feel superior to mock my beliefs?

Perhaps you are right, but i didn't mock anyone. I actually started out wanting to open your mind to the inner working of faith. wanted to show you that is has merit in the human soul. Im sorry that things didnt work out that way. My apologies.

Neither did I. So what´s the point of this remark, when talking to me?
I actually started out wanting to open your mind to the inner working of faith.
That´s a tough task when you can´t bring anything to the table to substantiate your claim that you have special abilities/nature/conditions.
I suspect that if I were such an extarordinary person but empty handed when it comes to demonstrating it, I wouldn´t even try to.
wanted to show you that is has merit in the human soul.
I´m sorry, but I haven´t seen any attempt at showing this. What exactly did you try - beyond insisting that you are special and I am not, so there´s no way for you to explain it?
Im sorry that things didnt work out that way. My apologies.
No offense taken.
I just think it´s a little naive to expect people to take your word for it when you want them to believe you are special/extraordinary/gifted/privileged or whatever one could call it (or - vice versa - they are handicapped, disadvantaged....). I have a hard time believing that your response to such claims would be any different than the responses you get here.

What part of my comments did you take as mockery? I thought I was simply commenting on the arc of the thread.

We started off with the OP claiming to have some special knowledge of reality which I don't have and can't have. You agreed with him claiming the same thing essentially.

Then on this page...3 pages later...you admitted that it's not something special, it's just that I won't believe it because I don't believe as you do. It's not really any different from the claims of every other religion that you don't believe in.

That's where this thread started...and where it's gotten to. Where's the mockery?

I guess the simplest way to state my point is that there is a huge difference between saying someone is "blind" in some way, or that you have some special sight that someone else doesn't have...and saying that they simply don't believe in the same things you do.

Knowledge isn't something that can only be acquired through belief. Knowledge may not always be understood...and it certainly won't always be believed...but any knowledge that someone has can certainly be shared/communicated to someone else regardless of what they believe.

And an example of their "mocking" was to claim that they also have some esoteric knowledge that people of different religions don't have access to ... just like the OP and several other Christians have done in this very thread.

The scientific conclusion of your life draws closer then.

You aren't telling me anything I don't already know.

This is often the conclusion of conversations with believers regarding their supernatural beliefs

I tell them I don't believe in their claims
I ask questions around their claims which they don't answer
I ask for evidence for their claims
They hand wave away the requests claiming I won't understand or won't be able to see the evidence

Typical.

You're too late. The corpse that once would have heard that shortsighted ignorance is already deceased.

Well for me at least it is never too late.

I am always open minded and open to change, providing evidence is presented.

Thus far, I remain unenlightened :D

Uh huh...tell you what, I'll use an analogy for this situation that actually works.

Your claims of spiritual sight are about as empty to me...as if I told you that I'm a Mensa level genius. You probably wouldn't believe that claim...would you? You would expect me to demonstrate my massive genius before you believe my claim.

The problem, of course, is that massive intellectual superiority is something that you could reasonably demonstrate to someone given the proper setting and time. Your "spiritual sight" is something that you can't even really explain in a meaningful way...let alone demonstrate to anyone. So it's always going to be just another empty claim.
Your analogy works if it is a claim of intellect, but not about something over the horizon, and no amount of demonstrating or explaining will do what needs to be done. Discovering the truth, is all on you. I don't need to tell you, and I don't need you to know. But the best that can be done with information about what is over the horizon, is to share it...and I have.
