When you conceptualize this "way of life" how do you do it? With words? With pictures? Or is it all emotional?

Do you ask for our sympathy? (Yes, must be a tough situation to be in!)
Are you assuming that telling people "I have special knowledge" results in them believing you that you have special knowledge?

Look at what you are doing. You are here, a Christian website, mocking my Christian beliefs. In effect its you who are thinking that you're better than me. What compels you to come here and argue about something you dont believe in? Does it make you feel superior to mock my beliefs?

Perhaps you are right, but i didn't mock anyone. I actually started out wanting to open your mind to the inner working of faith. wanted to show you that is has merit in the human soul. Im sorry that things didnt work out that way. My apologies.

That´s a tough task when you can´t bring anything to the table to substantiate your claim that you have special abilities/nature/conditions.
I suspect that if I were such an extarordinary person but empty handed when it comes to demonstrating it, I wouldn´t even try to.

I just think it´s a little naive to expect people to take your word for it when you want them to believe you are special/extraordinary/gifted/privileged or whatever one could call it (or - vice versa - they are handicapped, disadvantaged....). I have a hard time believing that your response to such claims would be any different than the responses you get here.

We started off with the OP claiming to have some special knowledge of reality which I don't have and can't have. You agreed with him claiming the same thing essentially.

Then on this page...3 pages later...you admitted that it's not something special, it's just that I won't believe it because I don't believe as you do. It's not really any different from the claims of every other religion that you don't believe in.

That's where this thread started...and where it's gotten to. Where's the mockery?

I guess the simplest way to state my point is that there is a huge difference between saying someone is "blind" in some way, or that you have some special sight that someone else doesn't have...and saying that they simply don't believe in the same things you do.

Knowledge isn't something that can only be acquired through belief. Knowledge may not always be understood...and it certainly won't always be believed...but any knowledge that someone has can certainly be shared/communicated to someone else regardless of what they believe.

Uh huh...tell you what, I'll use an analogy for this situation that actually works.

Your claims of spiritual sight are about as empty to me...as if I told you that I'm a Mensa level genius. You probably wouldn't believe that claim...would you? You would expect me to demonstrate my massive genius before you believe my claim.

The problem, of course, is that massive intellectual superiority is something that you could reasonably demonstrate to someone given the proper setting and time. Your "spiritual sight" is something that you can't even really explain in a meaningful way...let alone demonstrate to anyone. So it's always going to be just another empty claim.

Your analogy works if it is a claim of intellect, but not about something over the horizon, and no amount of demonstrating or explaining will do what needs to be done. Discovering the truth, is all on you. I don't need to tell you, and I don't need you to know. But the best that can be done with information about what is over the horizon, is to share it...and I have.
