  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Fish Story

I've a very small 2.5 gallon aquarium. There's a tiny algae eater, a grumpy corydoras catfish, and a couple of shameless begging goldfish.

Last night when my DW came to bed she said she couldn't find the algae eater~the other AE had died a couple of days ago.

So this morning I was up before everyone else (as usual)~I went downstairs to inspect the tank. There along the bottom edge the catfish was laying belly-up.

It was my favorite in the tank, and I was kinda sad about it. I knew I couldn't reach it without removing one of the plastic plant things so I reached in and pulled it out and put it on the paper towel I'd brought in, and carried it to the kitchen.

When I returned he was swimming all around, excited about all the "stuff" I churned up by pulling out the plant~the stupid thing was supposed to be dead, but there he was. Oh, and the algae eater was in there doin' its thing.

At last check he was his usual lively self~can't imagine it was sleepin' on it's back~who knew? Happy ending

Fish are hard to keep alive. :o I went through several (about 6) betas before I finally gave up. They can be so pretty! I had a couple blue ones and a couple red ones. Not at the same time of course cause they are very aggressive and will eat each other. :(

Just call me the fish killer. :sorry:
