Well, I don't really know if this goes here, but I have a story about something that happened the other night.
Anyway, I was walking the dogs with my mum. She had the two little ones and I had the two big ones.
We came to the stairs and my mum was still behind, so I started going down ahead of her. I looked down to the bottom of the stairs and I could see a girl coming up dressed in nice clothes, with just the light from a streetlamp illuminating her body...
...well, I'd never seen her before but she looked quite pretty, so I was waiting for her to get closer in order to tell her age. A lot of the women around here are ex-patriates, so it was likely it was somebody's wife and in that case I didn't want to stare. I started down the stairs a little bit and I intended on letting her pass and avoiding conversation altogether, (i'm shy,) when she stopped to say hello to my dogs!
So she says my dogs are cute and starts petting them, while i'm trying not to be rude but equally taken by surprise. It took me quite a long time to actually say hi, but when I did she looked up into my eyes and we shared a moment which I can only describe as; "hey, you're young too!" Then I told her there were some puppies as well and she went up to see them.
Anyway, I know nothing's to come of it but it was nice seeing a beautiful girl in the neighborhood and the reason I posted this was because it felt exactly like those semi-awkward moments in the movies when boy meets girl; and I thought it was kinda cute.
