Well, my given name is Cheryl, but I don't go by that. Everyone calls me Cheri. Blame my parents- they started it right after I was born. I really wish they had just named me Cheri- would have been easier!

Kerry married a Kim

Kim married a Mike

Kathy and Keith have one child, Lauren

Keith and Melissa have two children, Lindsey and Luke

Kerry and Kim have one child, Kyle

Kerry and Kim divorced and Kerry is now married to a Debbie

Kathy and Keith divorced and Kathy is now single. (and VERY pretty!!)

My Dad's name is Jerry. Mom's the odd gal out...she's Shirley.

So when I sent flowers to Mom for her birthday last year I signed the card

Same name as my sister. We don't call her by her first name either. Usually we call her Angie or Ang (which has an implied "e" such that the "g" makes the same sound as "j")

I'm kinda the same way about my given name. While there is nothing wrong with the name Cheryl , I am just not used to being called that and EVERYBODY calls me Cheri (except for a couple teachers in elementary school- the ones I didn't like!) I don't even sign my checks with my given name, but recently I became Treasurer of a group and I have to sign my given name on those checks, which is hard to remember!

Mine is not Grace, although that's what I sign my posts with. My husband asked me not to use my real name online, but instead use a pseudonym, so I chose Grace when I first started posting a CF years ago.

I have this strange thing about not using realnames online, so even in emails I'll slip and call my husband Hunter (much to the confusion of his family until I explained it), and our daughter knows that she is Gem online (her initials). I've been synger so long I've answered to it IRL. It's even the name I put on my badge at SF conventions.

I love your name. *smiles* My first Lutheran friend, in junior college, was a Kenneth Charles. He gave me my first Small Catechism, and took me to his church (LCMS) where we lived in Michigan. He was one of my best friends. He'd probably be tickled pink to know I'd converted to Lutheranism.

Makes me want to send him a note to see how he's doing. I havne't talked to him in over 20 years.

I don't give my last name or my address (or my social security number - even though I have Lifelock!) but there are probably thousands of guys named Josiah in my State so knowing my first name and state says NOTHING about me. I've even googled Josiah and California and (surprisingly) nothing shows up for many, many pages - and by then, no one would make a connection. Now, I could google Josiah and some other things - and I pop up at the top of the list, but I don't reveal those things online.
