First love

i've asked this question to a friend of mine and she wasnt sure how to answer it.

How do you truly make God your first love? I Long and desire to make God my First Love and i'm trying to do so, i Love The Lord alot! although I Love the Lord alot, i also love the guy i'm courting alot too, but i try to put God first in all things.. how do you balance the two?

It will be hard that will be the first thing that I will tell you.

It is hard but I always say or pray to God, please help me in every way to make you first in my life. That is my first step.

Because I always believe God is first and everything will fall into place because He is the one directing your path. The path to holiness and righteousness. Sounds idealistic?

Yeh, you might say, but you got to start from somewhere. And I have been putting Him first in my life, and so far I thought I would have a hard time putting Him first since I just got married, but hey, even my husband tells me God first. So....

God is very much in my life, and my life has never been better. Trials are there, but still it works out. WOnder why?
