  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You were deprived. The original was the greatest show no earth! That was my routine after school when I was a kid, Batman than Power Rangers. :D

Pshht. ...My afternoon TV lineup was Gunsmoke at 1 pm, The Wild, Wild West at 2 pm, and then The Rifleman at 3 pm.

:p^_^ I wasn't allowed to watch Power Rangers, but shoot'em up westerns from the 60s were A-okay. :ahah:

Her name was Lauren, we were in kindergarten. Though we were a "couple" throughout kindergarten and first grade. She moved to California after first grade, and I always wondered what happened to her.

My first "real" crush was named Madison in sixth grade. Pretty much every single guy age I had a thing for her at one point before we graduated. All but one of my good friends (who was one of us that did have a thing for her) from youth group ended up kissing her at some point. Before you get that impression, it was a very complication situation that I'm pretty sure I can't actually describe what exactly happened. She's married now to none of us.

^ There's plenty of 'justice' being done in westerns from the 60s. Hahahaha. ...Plenty of lynch mobs, too. LOL. :ahah:

Listen. I wasn't THAT deprived. I was allowed to watch Batman (and Batman Beyond) on Saturday morning. :D

^ Yeah, I agree. I couldn't care less that I missed out.

Although...I confess. I did sneak a couple episodes. Lol.

What I hated are the times I snuck things and... they turned out to be boring. Lol, like I had to sneak the powerpuff girls a couple times and I had to sneak the Twilight series...

But neither of those were that great anyway.

As a little kid it sucks to finally get to read/watch something your friends think is wonderful but isn't allowed, just to find that it's not worth your time.

I thought grownups banned fun things, not stupid things.

Powerpuff Girls were great. ^_^ But Dexter's Laboratory was THE best. At the time anyway...back in my day. :D

Yes, I agree. But...in the case of Edward Scissorhands. That exceeded my expectations. lol

I loved Powerpuff Girls as a kid.

For some reason I was allowed to watch that. Anything with humor was pretty much ok.

Magical powers and stuff were bad, but raunchy comedic shows about sex were fine for some reason, lol.

Seems weird to me, superhero stuff was all about teaching morals, justice, and helping others and had narratives of good and evil.

Fantasy violence was A-Okay in my house. Rude/crude humor was not.

I know. It's funny to think about the differing strict standards of peoples childhoods.

I remember going to a Bible study where the parents hated rude/crude humor. The father especially hated me, since I was making rude/crude jokes all the time and was essentially poisoning his children's minds.

At the same time, they'd be allowed to watch movies like Harry Potter, and I was always too afraid to watch the movies with them.

How old were you when you had your first crush? Who was it? I dare you to tell the story.

If I had any crushes prior to hitting junior high-school, they must not have been significant since I don't remember any.

Since then quite a few, but the names and the stories shall remain undisclosed :)
