  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Me too. I needed reminded, as paul said, to rejoice always. I need to spend my mornings in fellowship threads too. Stillness, quiet, peaceful, faith. Paul said that we dont look at the things we see but instead we look at the unseen things. Our life is hidden with Christ in God, in heaven above.

Awwwwwww that's soooooo true....

as i was thinking about what you posted, i realized something....

and it is, that joy and laughter and praise, intermingled with prrayer, are like "armor" of sorts....

or a "coating of protection" from the arrows n' darts of the enemy (which can come in the form of "debates", etc.) hahaaa

Yes i agree. I also believe that stillness, and quietness are like amour as well. I need to endeavor to pray more, be quiet more, and to be still. :)

You are a blessed reminder to me. You always talk about stillness. Thank you. I think of that and love too. Love is truly the greatest. I picture myself being still, walking in love and grace. Its delightful to ponder.

Awwwwww...it's because i have always had a problem being still.....sometimes i wonder if i have spiritual ADD hahaaaa

Cuz i can easily be distracted, especially here on CF, with a headline that begs a response hahaaaa

I almost just was.

I know in my heart and spirit that God abides in "stillness" and that He beckons me to HIS "stillness", that causes all the chaos and disruption and distractions to fade off into the background....and i realize when i join Him in His "stillness" that i can breeeeeeeathe....

before that, even my breathing was more rapid.....

In John 14, the Lord says that the spirit will remind the disciples of all that He spoke. The Lord reminded us, as we fellowship together. Praise the Lord. :)
