  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think it's a matter of finding time to pray. If it's that important you make time.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ.

Prayer can be a passing moment on your way to work, a few seconds on your lunch break, out walking your dog, eating your breakfast, doing yard work, etc.

I think a lot of people think of prayer too formally. It isn't always an on-your-knees in a quiet room business.

I kneel beside my bed in the morning and evening while I pray but I regularly pray throughout the day doing my day-to-day activities.

When I was at college,I used to pray in the toilet or in the woods because there was no privacy in the dormitory and yes,'PTL' is quite right we can pray anywhere at any time.

'You said that if we'd humble ourselves and begin to pray,You would heal our barren land and cleanse us with Your rain. Don't pass us by. Let this be the generation LORD,that lifts up Your name to all the world. Save us,O God. Save a people for Yourself,O LORD. Let the fear of God be a standard. Save us,O God,cleanse us from our unfaithfulness. Let the place where we live be called a house of prayer' (Kevin Prosch)

How do you find time to eat? The body is not the only one that needs feeding. Without prayer, you will become spiritualy empty.
Absolutely,'Arctic Wind'. Amen!

Heavenly Father we thankyou for the privilege of prayer. It is awesome that we can commune with the Living God of heaven and earth. Hear us as we cry to you tonight on behalf of our families and loved ones and our friends and contacts. Be with them tonight. Amen!

When you can't sleep,pray!

We need prayer. Others need our prayer. God hears our prayer.

I have a room that I call my war room, it is a base really, then I pray also, as we all do, everywhere and at all times...

I love to pray and read the psalms...Psalm 85

Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 The Lord will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
13 Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps.
