This section was started for a reason. We come here because we are all of approximate same ages, and we have more in common with each other than we do on the regular Singles section.
I used to feel it was a safe place to communicate our issues, or questions, to enhance our knowledge, and understanding of where we are in life, and how others in similar situations are getting along doing the same.
Lately there have been a lot of new "eyes" here and a lot of "judgement" thrown around.
We are an online community. I enjoy coming here and having discussions, whether we agree or not, and communicating with the regulars here. We should be loving toward one another and we should care and pray for one another.
None of us are perfect, thank the Lord. We ALL have issues in one form or another. That is called being human.
But it's no fun to come here only to read the lastest lashing of what horrible Christians we are.
WE ARE! We already know that! That is WHY we need a Savior. What we do not need is a constant nagging or berating on our every thought or action we have wrote about.
We need this to be a safe place to discuss things that are pertinent to us at our age in our life. Lately I don't feel like this is a safe place. I feel I have been wrongly judged just by talking about my issues. And I think we know where the judgement is coming from.
So can we try to go back to how it was and talk about things and not judge someone if they view things differently than you? Can we agree to disagree at that point? Can we leave it up to God to the if/when a person changes?
I think it's perfectly fine to say, "I believe such and such", or "I believe the bible says such and such". I just don't think it's OK to keep arguing about differing opinions and labeling people that you don't know except online.
I think a lot of it is presentation. How you present your opinion. You can say I believe the bible says this and I stand by that, but you should not say you are taking side with the Word of God as if the other person wasn't considering the bible at all. And calling people uninformed, apathetic, or anything else (which I thought was against the "rules") is not acceptable.
