I am looking for a book about a little beggar girl who met the King when he came to visit her town.
I have hunted and hunted for it. I can't remember the exact title.
It is a Christian parable. The town gets a message that the King is coming to select one of them so they all start practicing their talents like baking, singing, etc.
They don't notice the King because he is dressed like a beggar.
Only the girl who has no talent notices him and shows him around the town.
Since everyone else is so busy, the King takes her back with him.
It is a lovely story and I really want to find out the title.
