I could get into a debate and go No way! Caitsith ROCKS! But um... I won't. Because it doesn't. I am actually debating quitting because I basicly have no one to play with and it is getting really lonely and seemingly pointless. Congrats on getting close to leveling.

Seems to be. I tried to get away from it but the thought of leveling another job through Garlaige Citadel makes me cringe. And I do HATE playing blm. Everyone expects me to still do the whm job when I am blm  . Eventually I will be mainly a bard, but i'm just leveling that slowly. If u ever want to start over on the Ifrit server let me know and I will get u a world pass.

Through Bat Death Hell? I never leveled there. I wouldn't suggest ever leveling there unless you are in your high 40's low 50's. When I hit 30 I either leveled on Makara and Sahagin in the secret valley in Yuhtunga Jungle near the waterfall leading to Sea Serpent Grotto, or I went to Eastern Altepa Desert and leveled off beetles. Then at 34 I went to Crawlers Nest. You can stay in crawlers nest for a long time. I think I left at around 44. So ten levels there. lol

I might not mind messing around in Ifrit, but starting over would be a nightmare. I would have to think about it.

OY......going to those areas requires finding a party to go there. On ifrit anyways people would rather wait(for an hour or more sometimes) in Garlaige for raises and trains to clear then go to Altep, and I never heard of anyone in there early 30's leveling off Sahagin:scratch: . I agree though, but I pulled my hair out trying to find parties there. I never got invited to Altep(beetles near Revelation Rock or Quicksand caves) till my early 40's and as far as CN goes.......I'm still getting invited there by people who seem to love the lag fest and fighting for party spots:mad: Oh well. lol.

Yeah, I know the feeling. For early 30's you fight the beetles in East Altepa. Yeah the beetles near Revelation Rock in West Altepa are for early to mid 40's. The sahagin are the ones in Yuhtunga Jungle, not the ones in the grotto. I was leveling my war/nin there in a party of 29-31. Pretty easy stuff actually as long as you have a balanced party. And people are stupid on my server too about Garliage. The main thing that gets in the way of Altepa in the 30's is that people don't have the crystal. Which shocks me, but oh well. Wish you could transfer over to my server. hehe

Lets discuss Promvyion. Anyone tried it. Any tricks. Seems that SE is going to make it a little easier during the next update /cheer. I tried it twice and now am about 25k poorer and 2000xp less. Tavnazia was the only part of the expansion that I was looking forward to and turns out to be the only part unaccessable

I played it to a level 30 BLM/15 WHM. It was way too slow, and there was too much downtime for my liking. I was also disturbed by the fact that I was always fighting something like rabbits, crabs, mini-plants (e.g. mandragoras), and lots of other animals that would seem harmless, and the only way they could be beat is with five other great adventurers. It kinda degraded my character and made me feel weak compared a four year-old venturing into his dangerous backyard.

Uh oh, here I go again. I've literally accidentally written rants on this game because it frustrated me so much, and I am about to do it again. I better stop. If I really tried, I could probably write a ten-page rant about all the things that I didn't like. My brother played it religiously until World of Warcraft came out and had level 65 PAL, 40-some DRG, 40-some THF, yada yada yada. I think he had exactly one thousand hours put into the game.

Anyway, FFXI had some good features and qualities, but it just wasn't my thing. After I quit it, I switched to City of Heroes until World of Warcraft came out.

I wish I could tell you something helpful about promyvion. I haven't even attempted on yet. I want to but it is supposed to be an LS event that just hasn't happened yet.

What little I have heard is that there is some rare item that is dropped in promyvion somewhere and if you get it and give it to someone then it will weaken the boss guy. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but worth checking out further I suppose.
