Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

My groovy little chickens,
Does anybody know much about this one? (I know it's a CG movie, and not a game, but where else to put it? )
From what I've seen, it looks incredible. Certainly one to watch!

Too right!
While Spirits was pretty ground breaking in terms of its animation, I didn't see it as Final Fantasy at all!
Advent Children however, follows on from the end of FFVII, and from the trailers, I've managed to see a great number of the original characters. Haven't seen Red XIII yet though...

lol red xiii better be in it! he was my most favorite character in the whole game. But the movie is about three guys ( couple of them look like girls ) but they looked up to seph and they wanted to complete his goals. So those guys are mad at cloud for killing seph. So they try to destroy him and it happens pretty much all over again. That's what i got off of a site in a nutshell. It's supposed to be released in Japan within the month acutally and Fall for the US. I feel sorry for the UK cause they get it next spring.

They don't look like girls so much as they look like they are about ready to start a rock band a la X-Japan (well, to a lesser degree than X-Japan, but you get my point.)

I heard along the grapevine that they're clones of Sephiroth, made by Hojo before his demise. That would certainly explain the strange character in the wheelchair...

My therory...

*FF7 SPOILERS*
Hojo probably survived to make more clones, or another scientist made more, bcause it was obviously after you fought Hojo

Every time I see you, I... It pains me that I had so little scientific
sense... I evaluated you as a failed project. But, you are the only one that
succeeded as a Sephiroth-clone. Heh, heh, heh...... I'm even beginning to hate
myself.

The Silver haired men are most likely direct clones of Sephiroth or humans with Jenova DNA from birth. The person under the sheet is probably the person who made them.

I have heard talk about the person under the sheet being Aeris or Sephiroth. It would not be Aeris because one of the Silver haired men (SHM), Kadaj, bowed to him/her, and the SHM want to kill Cloud so she is out, and it's not Sephiroth because he is dead, same case with Aeris. They will not be in the movie, there will most likely be flashbacks, or mabey be seen in the Lifestream as a ghost.

Red XIII should be there because he was seen in the cutscene at the end of the game, with Midgar covered in flowers, so he should be there.

I have scoured the net for info and am pleased with what I see, such as the fact that my favourite FF Characters (Cloud and Aeris) are both in it. (and Aeris ain't just a flashback, baby)

And for the record Sephiroth is very dead, since I remember with great happeness Cloud's final Omnislash in the lifestream. (of course I could be wrong)

Cloud did attack Sephiroth with the Omnislash in the Lifestream. But, what if Sephiroth survived, and contracted Mako Poisoning much like Cloud did? That would certainly explain the wheelchair.

Take a look at the wheelchaired dude. That hand looks a bit big for a girl's hand. I doubt it's Aeris.

And Aeris isn't just a flashback?!? Are you serious!?! That's it, I've got to see this movie. Anyone else here cry when Aeris died? I know I did. She was my favorite.

I did but then again I'm a pansy. She was my favorite female character, I'm not so sure that Seph isn't still alive, would be cool to see him and Cloud fight again though.

Sephiroth dissapeared into Lifestream so it may be him and it may not I agree that the hand is too big to be a girls so it should not be Aeris but what if it is Lifestream could have changed the way she looks you know.

And Tissue you are not the only one who cried when Aeris died. Shoot I cried while playing FF8 when I thought Rinoa was going to die.

To be honest, I've never played FF8. And the crying about Aeris didn't start until the music started playing. Ya' know, when her head bounced because of the sword, and the materia broke loose. Then I began really tearing up when Cloud laid her to rest. If she comes back, you can be sure there will be tons of clapping and cheering at THIS house.
