Fill-In-The-Blank Game!

[Doctor.Sphinx]

gaped in awe at the newcomer. @DavidFirth had to close somebody's mouth. More than one or two stared helplessly at the new sight, which, being more impressive than the majestic view of the Earth from atop Mt Everest, had somehow magnetised their eyes. Although identical in many ways to the old Sam91, the newcomer was somehow more feminine, more radiant, more complete - no longer would she be confused for biblical heroes such as Samuel, or Samson, or even fictional ones such as Samwise Gamgee. This was most certainly a heroine, if hero at all.

@Sam91 seemed to be getting getting jealous, for some reason.
"I don't know why *you* had to come here", Sam91 snapped, "We were doing just fine without you".

"Oh be quiet Sam91, and welcome to Mount Everest Samantha91" beamed @*LILAC, who had spent years getting used to being almost identical to another @Lilac.

"Its a little chilly, but the view is to die for" complimented @Samantha91.

"And don't worry about Doctor Sphinx", commented @LaSorcia, almost as if she suspected that somebody might.
"I received a text message from him on my phone. Apparently, he defeated the Philistines in a way only he could - he read one of his poems to them, and they died of boredom before he finished."

The new Samantha91 looked puzzled, but Sam91's eye widened somewhat in hope.

"Perhaps there is still hope to get rid of this menace", she stated, glaring at Samantha91.

"Don't worry Sam91", winked LaSorcia, "I know where there are some other Sphinxes we can... uhhh... rehome in your museum. The doctor's time will come without us hastening it."

Suddenly, and without proper warning...

Sam 91 started running away down the hill.... mountain.

Samantha 91 stared aghast passed @*LILAC 's shoulder. Peeking out behind a rock was an incredibly hairy head! @*LILAC turned around and shrieked rather delightedly 'YETIIIII!!'

@LaSorcia looked uneasily at @DavidFirth, who in turn gestured to @christine40 , who nudged @joyshirley , who promptly said to @GreenWizard...

Get him already! What are you waiting for?

@GreenWizard then accused @Samantha91 of really being @Sam91 after waving his wand at the yeti...

Which in turn, politely waved a paw back at the @GreenWizard, all the while holding the still giggling @*LILAC in it's other enormous paw.

Poor @Doctor.Sphinx, some thousands of miles away in a vast desert, the name of which he doubted the others would even be able to pronounce let alone spell, was unavailable for comment. His resolution to meet up with the others numbed the pain of countless blisters and scorpion stings. However, ever considering the well-fare of his fellow adventurers, he had sent his trusty emissary Ebony - a shiny-feathered raven - ahead of him to caw out words of wisdom on his behalf.

"@GreenWizard! @GreenWizard" @ebony cawed, in her raucous but unique timbre of voice.
The @GreenWizard appeared startled for an instant, and @DavidFirth nodded his head silently, remembering the good doctor's comparison of the same with a leprechaun. He was sure he remembered reading somewhere that the leprechaun was one of the main sources of nutrition for the humble raven.
"@GreenWizard! @GreenWizard" Ebony cawed again impatiently, appearing somewhat frustrated by the little green man's lethargic tongue.
"What is it crow?", the @GreenWizard asked.
"Why are you bothering me, and how do you know my name"?
"@Samantha91 and @Sam91" Ebony cawed.
"Be not over-confident..." she continued "...the mystery have you solved".

The sequence of events had been sufficient distraction for @LaSorcia to...

But DavidFirth and @Doctor.Sphinx 'brought her back' and everything was cool until...

Sam 91 arrived on the scene to demand to know why @DavidFirth didn't bring her back? Why that odious Samantha 91 was still there? However, she became concerned that the heroic @Doctor Sphinx was very ratty after all those scorpion bites and was rather senseless due to too much sun. (It seems the Unicorn surgery for dummies yarmulke also worked on him).

@*LILAC and @Christine 40 were incensed still over the death of the poor @Mr Yeti

It was a rather noisy affair culminating...

 

[LaSorcia]

LaSorica having a nervous breakdown from being sent to Coventry. First the trauma of the unicorn surgery and then the shunning by her only friends. It was too much.

But she prayed to God and...

the Pharoah showed up and gave her 100 dozen roses! Everyone was freaking out when...

Ebony the raven squawked out a warning (as Doctor Sphinx was too ratty, senseless and in most other ways incapacitated to even croak out so much as a "hello")...

"The Yeti - not dead yet...", Ebony warned, "...but dying quickly."
"To save, someone out, the poison must suck." she finished in her unique voice.
Dr Sphinx nodded his still ratty head at the raven's advice.
Everyone in the group turned and looked at @DavidFirth, who they all, for some reason, naturally associated with such odious tasks.
Looking somewhat nervous, DavidFirth quickly replied...

That @La Sorcia should technically be the one to do it.

However, he then said that he was willing to die for a friend if need be because Christ had died for Him. That to die is gain and that he hoped that he could continue with the sometimes rowdy bunch. That he felt a responsibility to pray for them and that he hoped he still could.

The group stood and sat transfixed. Hearts crushed. Awake to their own faults and felt like they wished they had given @DavidFirth more credit before. They willed that He would survive, they would deeply miss him. They vowed to actually study the Bible and pray more with him when they saw how thoroughly he would put his faith into action, no matter the cost. Immediately they started praying in their hearts.

He approached the Yeti when Sam 91, still wearing the aforementioned yarmulke, yelled "Stop".

"Suction Hose"....

Doctor Sphinx, 'though still recovering, quickly obliged and brought the hose.
"Suction plunger!" @Sam91 called out next.
Doctor Sphinx squinted his eyes at Sam91. Suddenly it made sense. If he was not mistaken (and he thought to himself, "I am never mistaken!"), she was wearing the yarmulke of toxicological assistance. The yarmulke suited her well. Possibly too well. Far better than it would suit the newcomer @Samantha91... Possibly far better than it suited him, he thought to himself quietly... His thoughts were interrupted by a shout.
"Suction plunger, please Doctor Sphinx!" Sam91 called out again.
The suction plunger was produced, and @DavidFirth, daring as ever, was the member of the group brave enough to connect it to the injured Yeti.
Sam91 pressed a button, and with a clunk, clunk, chink, the poisoned bolts and associated poisons were quickly extracted from the posterior of the injured Yeti.
As the Yeti slowly rose to its feet, @*LILAC let out yet another shriek of delight...

And leapt into it's arms. @*LILAC was delighted indeed!

The poor, exhausted @Doctor.Sphinx had fallen asleep. Worn out from the arduous, long, dusty, dangerous trip.

@DavidFirth suggested that we ought to find a way to dress the good doctors injuries.

@LaSorcia stated that setting up camp is another priority beçause everyone seemed tired and lethargic.

The group busied themselves. Setting up tents fell to @GreenWizard @gennypearl and @christine40.

Aided by the extraordinary yarmulke, Sam91 searched for healing herbs.

@DavidFirth @jameseb and @joyshirley set forth on the hunt to replenish water, find fresh meat and any edible plants

A woman stumbled into the camp. Radiant, she was. @LaSorcia stepping back from the fire she had made, smiled, greeted her, and asked her name.

"Hi I'm @Saricharity, I was wondering(or wandering, someone else decide) ..."

 

[Sam91]

"Eureka!!" interrupted Sam91

With a bounce in her step she skipped over to the group.

"Nepal is a wonderful region. Especially that clearing over there. Some thoughtful soul has planted a veritable supply of herbs!! What a blessing. I have found Arnica, licorice root and ginseng. The arnica we can make into a pulp and apply to Sphinx's wounds.

We can make a tea in the morning out of the ginseng and licorice. It will purify any toxins and invigorate, well revigorate, the Dr after his much needed rest!! How wonderful!"

Then...

A rude little leprechaun arrived out of nowhere and promptly gave @Sam91 10 plane tickets to Nepal! After trying to sneak a look into the girl's tent he vanished. @Doctor.Sphinx stood there in shock...
