yes they should, it was a deliberate trip. we shouldn't have been penalized for the italian guy jumping over lucas neill's body, everyone could see that it was not a trip, neill slid in for the tackle and missed, he deliberately got his foot and leg well out of the way... and the italian guy still dove over his body to get the penalty.
we would have won that game in extra time. we still had 2 subs to make, they had none. we had 11 men on the field, they only had 10 (plus the ref of course ). there was no way we could have lost it in extra time....

I didn't see the match , but the IT'I's are famous for diving ...........they should enter the Olympics!!

I couldn't watch the penalty shootout ...... I have seen this torment so many times for England.

Overall the match was enjoyable ...... a real fight!

I'm not much of a soccer person - there are other sports that I enjoy much more. That said - the couple of WC games I've seen over the past few weeks have been pretty darn good.

My son (who loves all sports) has been actively watching the games and has been teaching his 2 year old son the Italian players names. I'm pretty sure there's lots of celebrating going on at their house right about now.
