Few questions about New Earth.

Hi all, new person here. I hope I put this topic in right sub-forum.

Anyway: I have couple of questions about "new Earth".

1. Will I be able to make my own country / nation on New Earth?

2. How do we get there? Is our soul just being moved to a body which is already there and we just transcend , or we need to be born again? I kinda don't want to grow up again so ....

3. Who we will be married to on New Earth?

4. I know book of Revelation says: " no more sea . ". But really ? There will be no oceans?

The new earth, The Bible does not elaborate to much about life on the new earth. All that can be found about the new earth is in Revelation 21 and some in Isaiah

Important facts, found in scripture:
1) There is only One Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ of Nazareth is King. So no other nations.
2) One must be " born again" while still alive on this earth. One will receive His Holy Spirit which enters them into the Body of Christ. On the last day, all will be ressurected into a new body. Some will be in everlasting life in the New Jerusalem and some into condemnation.
3) There is no marriage nor given into marriage.
4) I cant really comment on the sea issue.

Tnx for the effort Maria, even thru I "kinda disagree" with point no. 3. And I'm kinda for that sea / oceans being there. But really thank you for effort.

1. God establishes nations, but may assign you to be an integral person in a nation, that would be a ‘performance-based promotion,’ lol.

2. Most people think ‘rapture’ is to go to heaven then come back to earth— anything but… at the completion of God’s wrath, He claims those who He protected by moving them to New Jerusalem. (In the same manner, He ‘raptured’ Philip and landed him in another location.)

3. The act of marriage will not be given any thought, our new bodies will not be subjected to sexual desire because we will have achieved oneness with God.

4. New Jerusalem will have no sea, (still a river, though) but the remaining part of the planet that was not prepared for New Jerusalem will still have the seas… probably higher sea level/less habitable land.

Revelations is a very figurative writing and not to be taken literally.
We are to be catch up with Jesus and with our new spiritual bodies, I sure do not want to come back to earth nor see the need nor do I see scripture supporting the idea.

You want my take I guess.

1. I think scripture says something about people from different nations bring some like artifacts to New Jerusalem. So I guess there will be nations , or at least representatives of each nation.

2. I kinda have feeling we will need to be reborn, but I like my personality, who I am, I like my memories, hobbies, interests .... So I kinda don't want to lose all that and for sure I don't want to grow up again. Cause I just accepted myself and I'm super fine with who I am, and i just don't want to lose this tiny bit of myself. Cause I spent whole life trying to figure out myself and meet me.

3. Marriage - my take - God create Eve from Adams rib, my take is - everyone has someone created for him, "the other half". So I think there will be marriage / sexual desire etc , but only with that one person. God will lock you in into marriage with that specific person.

4. I think there will be a sea.

Now we can expand this topic - I've read in some article that you will need to be born again, but slowly you will remember who you are and get your personality back. We can expand this on point 5. - what will happen to your memories? Personality? Also I've read that new body will be continuation of this body - which I like.

And someone asked for job - I kinda think there will be jobs, but satisfying jobs and not jobs from this earth. I hate jobs also, most of them are boring and useless, but I have nothing against " dream job " on New Earth.

All Humanity will live on this Earth made new. We will not each one have his own nation.

1 Cor 15, and 1 Thess 4:13-18 tell us that Christ will give us all new bodies when He raptures the saints (both the living and the dead) at Christ's appearing. See also Matthew 24:29-31

We are taken to heaven for 1000 years as we see in Rev 20 and 21, then after the 1000 years the saints return to Earth along with Christ and the New Jerusalem... the New Earth will be transformed/created here replacing the old one.

3. Who we will be married to on New Earth?

Matt 22 says there is no marriage for those taken to heaven from Earth.. I suspect that is the case in the New Earth as well.

John writes the book of Revelation while banished on the Isle of Patmos - the New Earth will not have vast oceans where humanity can be isolated on small islands etc. It will likely have streams, lakes and rivers ...

Right now, while on earth what do you want to be doing which gives you both pleasure and satisfaction in doing something worthwhile?

But do not leave that throught until you say, what Jesus received his pleasure in doing and you are to be Christ like?
