i remember being scared of zazu at disneyworld

I remember playing house-house, and school-school, I was always the teacher and i would 'teach' my siblings..

I'll be 60 this month and I remember the original Mickey Mouse Club, with Annette, Cubby, Darlene, Cheryl and the rest of the gang. Also the original Lassie shows are a fond memory. And paper dolls. We bought them and also made our own sometimes. You don't see those much anymore but when I was a kid they were very popular.

I'm 25 and I remember watching Mr. Rogers Neighborhood as a kid. I also used to watch Major Dad and Murphy Brown when they were new on TV.

Great idea for a thread! Childhood is a magical time. I'm in my early 50's, and I recall two
vivid occurances:

Making hollyhock ladies with my Grandma:

Playing in my mother's garden and finding a 'piece of gold' walking around
on her plants (I was about 6 yo)

I remember being on a raft at 6 with my brother and he said we were going to swim back to shore and not use the inner tubes. I did it! I swam. I still remember everyone clapping and yelling..cheering me on.
