Feeling like a priority

Does anyone have suggestions on how to deal with the differences between families? Any suggestions on how to fight fair? We tried doing "the floor" which gives each of us time to talk without interruption, but that failed miserably.

Give your wife some space....let her have some time with her family. You have her pretty much 24/7. Marriage isn't all about "you" or your sex drive.

If one of my wife's close relatives was having surgery, I'd realize that her mind would probably be more on that than on pleasing me and my desires.

Oh, and the key to a successful marriage isn't in any single book, website, or in the mind of any marriage "guru" or his/her followers. Each marriage is unique and there is no "one size fits all" solution to marital problems.

I read your link, George, and it is a twisted representation, out of context, of the research Dr. Harley has done.

Do you subscribe to the other opinions hosted in that blog? There are some twisted, woman hating articles there, and I would include that the slant is evident in the link you attached.
