• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Maybe CF members are simply busy with their normal lives....

I am feeling sad and a bit frustrated....

Lately, I will post a thread (for example, in the Christian Advice forum)....90 minutes will pass without even one response....

I am looking for an online Christian community....

Should I look elsewhere??

Anything I can do to help you?

This seems to be, like, the largest Christian forum out there, I think.

TheoryofForms, yes there is something you can do to help me....just be my friend :)

Okay. Can I PM you? I just want to make sure everything is alright and get your mind off of what's bothering you.

It's okay to feel sad. Just don't say too many bad words in the process or Santa's elves will hear you! ;)

(My attempt at humor. Terrible, I know.)

You should remember that most members of this forum (I expect) live in US/Canada, and that they at present often will be in their churches just now, as they have Sunday morning.

I know waiting for an answer is frustrating, but remember that "... he that believeth shall not make haste." (Isaah 27,16B)

90 minutes, that's nothing.

I had a few threads, no response for a whole day, eventually, a few replied.

I have several videos in youtube, no comments ever, few threads in other forums that never got a reply.

I never saw it as big deal. Perhaps, no one can relate to the topic or everyone is jealous, I don't know.

But I'm definitely NOT gonna make threads that I think might make some of you jealous. Not gonna make threads like, I just bought a helicopter! Or someone gave me a beachfront property! I got my dream job! I just fixed the problem of my Ferrari!

I mean seriously, I got nothing to boast, got very little money, if in case my luck turned upside down, you'll probably never know.

I drive a Toyota Camry Hybrid. That might make some people jealous.

I might, lol! I don't have a car atm, sold it four years ago when I have to move back home.

But I doubt most people here would be jealous of your Camry! It's a very good car though. I've driven mostly Toyotas up to the 2003 models (and actually assembled in Japan) and found them to be extremely reliable. Not sure if the newer models kept such high standards.

I drive a 2009 Camry Hybrid, and I love it specifically because it's a hybrid. I've been driving it for almost 5 years....but I don't know how to drive it effectively (I use between 26 to 32 miles per gallon....I don't know how to get more miles per gallon).

Our family owns one Toyota, one Honda, and 2 Hyundai cars (one car for each member of the family).

Japanese cars are extremely reliable and dependable. The quality of Korea's Hyundai cars has really improved a lot. In the mid 1990s, Hyundai cars were extremely unreliable....

My schizophrenia prevents me from being a real good driver :(.

I am not a good driver either, so I just try to drive slowly (I drive according to the posted speed limit). When I was in high school, I caused 2 or 3 car accidents lol

26 mpg doesn't seem any different compared to a non-hybrid vehicle. I've read that hybrids are only more efficient in city driving.

So if you're always driving in freeways with very little traffic, then that might explain it. The fully automatic transmission mode will always be more efficient than the +- mode. And finally your speed. 50 mph tend to give the best fuel economy but my knowledge could be outdated.

Our family owns one Toyota, one Honda, and 2 Hyundai cars (one car for each member of the family).

I've driven Sonatas and Optimas back in 2008 rented. I have no idea about their reliability but I'm not disappointed at all using them as rentals. It felt just as good as the Toyotas.

No need to be jealous. Our family is not wealthy at all....my mother's car (a Hyundai Genesis sedan) is the most expensive car that our family owns LOL

The Camry Hybrid only goes into fully electric mode when I drive 40 miles per hour (or slower than 40 miles per hour).

For this reason, the Camry Hybrid is only fuel efficient in residential areas (25 mph speed limit) or when there is a lot of stop-and-go traffic on the freeway....when I am driving 15 to 20 miles per hour on the freeway in stop-and-go traffic

Everyone on a different time zone. Saturday and Sunday people are at church. There are patterns you will see eventually. Time of day/night when certain topics will arise more than other times. I'm avaliable

BeStill&Know, thank you....most people do seem to be at church now.

I am located in the Pacific Standard Time zone, so it is just past 10:00 in the morning.

I will be at church today from 11:30 to 3:00 :)

I've only become a good driver after driving for 15 years. But I'm not saying you go ahead try if you think the risk is too high.
