  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey ladies and (gents?) .... I'm new to this forum. Found it looking for answers - hoping for feedback. Has anyone here ever had preg symptoms with neg hpt? If so, what was the outcome - and why? I had a miscarriage in October - totally unexpected and out of the blue, since I had a tubal in 1994. My husband died last year and I just remarried. One of the things my husband and I discussed was that I could not give him children. I had so many symptoms - some so obvious that I actually did take an hpt twice and it came up negative! Then, I miscarried! Now, it's all happening again - and again - negative hpt! I sometimes thing I'm losing my mind but then I remind myself of the miscarriage and how I just blew it off and regretted that. I'm sorry for writing so much - but I really would love to hear from anyone who might have something helpful ...

Cause of my hormones I tend not to register on HPT's if I do, I have to wait till like CD 38-40. My first one didn't show up even though I checked twice, found out when I had my etopic in the ER that I was. Last April, it was really really faint on the hpt, doctor told me to come in for a blood test and I was unfortunatly I miscarried in June.

This time he just called me in for a blood test. :)

You might want to talk to your doctor about this and get some tests done.

yeah - i was posting in the miscarriage forum too, because i miscarried in october and hpt showed up neg. then, too ... this time one positive and then neg. ... nurse @ clinic says urine can be diluted and their tests are like otc hpt - and sometimes not as sensitive - packaging is just different. so - she wants me to behave as if i am pregnant until i go for my dr. appt. things have been tight. i am a little scared because low hcg levels can indicated a problem - but i've heard of cases where nothing was wrong and baby was fine. i just wanted some feedback on that - to see if others ever experienced it. thanks

Are you absolutely certain it was a miscarriage? I used to get so stressed out I'd only get my period once every four months, then accompanied by such horrible cramps and such, only way I knew it wasn't a miscarriage was because it wasn't possible for me to have one at the time

I hope this explains abit Psychobug.
There is no two ways about it, a miscarriage is not something that just happens one day. It takes awhile and you and your body know awhile in advance. A natural miscarriage takes anywhere from 3-5 weeks for your body to go though the whole process of it.
Some times when HgC's are lower, your body knows but you don't hense why some people end up in the ER the day it happens. There is lots of blood, MASSIVE cramping, and your body expells it just as it would if you were giving birth minus the baby.

I have had both ways happen so I feel for you kato.

It is true if your HgC's are low but your progesterone is fine, then you can have a healthy baby anyway. I will keep praying that this little bean sticks for you. :)
