I am sick of living this way. All i do is work and deal with constant complaining. I feel depressed and like life isnt worth living.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Life can be hard, and when hard times come I often say out loud: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. It works when we mean it. Also a prayer and a Bible chapter in the morning with coffee makes a huge difference in the way we will perceive our day.

My wife in her work has become the go to person to handle problem customers in a pharmacy environment and she has risen to that challenge in Christ or maybe better put, through Christ. Her real job is Pharmacy Technician, go figure. Amazing woman she is.

What work do you do which leads to you dealing with constant complaining?
This once vexed me as well...seriously while serving in the military. Always problems presented but no one wanted to do the work of proposing solutions. Then one day the Holy Spirit took me behind the woodshed and made it clear what Christian love entails. I listened and a day later when people complained or seemed to not have solutions I put myself in 'their shoes' for a few minutes and was able to help them solve the problems and give them tools to do so in the future.
I guess if you are looking for advice I would say walk in the shoes and on the rugged path others are enduring. It will be rewarding and please our Lord. Do something kind for people who are unkind to you and make sure you are doing it for no other reason other than you love them as a fellow human made in our Lord's image and according to His likeness. It's amazing the headaches and upset stomach goes away quickly too! Jesus put us before Himself and I believe that is what He wants us to do with our neighbor.

We are not living in Heaven yet, not even in "the promised land." Guess what? We are on the front lines of a battlefield. We are continually in a spiritual war. If we think we are supposed to be on a vacation, enjoying ourselves, we are going to find ourselves very unhappy. If we realize we are on a battlefield, then we can understand all the chaos around us. If we are following our own game plan of seeking "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" instead of following God's game plan (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Proverbs 3:5-6) we are going to find ourselves quite frustrated (Jeremiah 10:21). Father, may many more Christians come to the realization of what this life is all about. Amen.
