When I was a strapping young lad of about 10 years, my father took me to my first circus. My father and I sat in the front row and I told him I was going to get some popcorn. I left with money in hand to buy the largest tub they had, when I came back I noticed my father in a quarrel with a man, dressed in all black, with a mask, brandishing a katana. I ran forward towards them just as the Ninja unsheathed his sword and thrust it through my fathers sternum. As I screamed he fled. Those around us were laughing and pointing thinking it was part of the show. As I tried to convince them it was real I heard my father's last words. "What is it?" I asked him. As I leaned in he told me with his lasts dying breaths that he was a pirate. It was then that I understood. It is a well known fact that Ninja's hate pirates. It was then i swore an oath to avenge my fathers death at the hands of the six fingered man.... er im sorry wrong story.... at the hands of a ninja...

Large spiders and bugs freak me out--in particular those big cockroaches (the palmetto bugs)--especially the ones can fly.

Public speaking and heights do it to me too.
