I don't fear any of the items on the list; however, I did have this irrational phobia of attics. I have one in my apartment and I forced myself to climb up there to retrieve my Fall decorations. It was the first time I'd gone up there since I moved in almost two years ago. It wasn't so scary afterall. I also fear anything that goes upside down and clowns.

I fainted at the sight of the needle they were going to use to take a blood sample... it just looked so huge, like it could go right through, or get tangled in the bones... that sent me straight into an avenue with Fall trees bordering it, and lots of dry, orange leaves - in short the land of fainting.

As a male, it's somewhat embarassing to admit, but I am deathly afraid of bugs. The only things that don't bother me are tiny ants. Other that, spiders, beetles, roaches, etc, all freak me out. I'm thinking it probably has to do with the fact that our house is really really old and has a history of being home to centipedes. Those are, by far, my biggest fear. Just saying their name makes me want to barf, and I can't look at one for too long. That fear was amplified 90 bajillion times over when a HUGE centipede fell from the ceiling into my hair one morning a few years ago. You have NO idea how much that freaked me out. For like the next three days I kept running my fingers through my hair, making sure there was nothing in it.

I'm also afraid of snakes, but we don't really have a problem with them here in NJ.

I would add to that list my fear of people. Yeah, that's right, people. I am afraid of humans. No, I'm not joking. :(

Mushrooms. Those things are always glaring at me like they're plotting something against me. My really big fear: Large birds. I was nearly attack by a swan when I was eight and I haven't really cared for them since.

I am afraid of needles after I got a shot of imitrex in the ER only to find out that my body has a violent reaction with the drug...ever since I have to psych myself up when I get shots or blood drawn....I also have a fear of public speaking...well more so the public than the speaking...large groups of people get me on edge sometimes.

I'm scared of people in those plush costumes like the kind sports mascots and Minnie Mouse wears, where the person's head is covered. I'm really freaked out by those because you just have no idea WHO'S in there! I'm turning 24 next week and this summer at the fair I was almost in tears because I got too close to someone in one of those things....

My worst fear is clowns, or someone that has a lot of makeup on their face, kind of like kiss. I am terrified enough that it is a diagnosable phobia. I stop breathing and go into shock whenever I see them, and it doesn't matter if they are real or cartoons. I actually had to turn off my CF characters because some members have clowns as characters. And, where I work they have a project that involves coloring clowns... they had to stop doing that activity because of me. I am afraid of mascots too, or when someone has character costumes on. I can look at them, I just don't want them near me. If they are, I might fight.

I am also afraid of any sharp object, needles, knives, etc. I freak out whenever I am near them, its a trip whenever I have to use a knife to cut something. If I am cutting an onion or something similar, I have to waste about half of the it because I can't let the knife get too close to me. Even if a friend or someone is near me with a knife or needle, I freeze and have to get away.

1) Approaching girls

Maybe social phobia in general. Really funny, because I have absolutely NO problem or fears of speaking in public.

2) That I will never be in love

These two fears tend to play off one another.
just pray about it!

Snakes / spiders / other bugs? No problem

Heights...only when small children are around. Weird I know.

but my #1 phobia? Large Cockroaches. Small ones I've no problem with, but once they hit say...an inch in size...Ugh. It cna clear me out of a room.

Oh yea, and they small HORRIBLE. Most people can't even small them, but I can walk into a house and tell you if there is a roach there...or nearby outside most times too....

I am terrified of waterbugs. I hate all bugs, but those freeze me in my tracks. I have my reasons and they root from an early EARLY age. Say 4 years old through 8 years old. Then and incident when I was 17 made it worse. Into a scared thing. I even just freaked out now. They make me cry.
