I used to be in the distant past. Wouldn't call myself fearful now, but more apprehensive about friendships progressing beyond a certain point.
Also uncertain (and at times uncomfortable) about the level of intimacy that comes with being married and sharing one roof, one bed, your life, entire being and most hours in a day with just one other person for decades on end - too suffocating for my liking.
