I was born again in 2010...........and for a while lived a worldly life.

I do not believe this to be possible. And if it is....why would there be any desire to change? Why not we all continue to be saved and continue to live worldly lives?

I would advise forgetting about when you were saved, the date it happened to be and how long it has been since that time, and seek God anew....as if you have never sought Him before.

I also believe that the fear you have is not of God or holy in any way.
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

I was born again in 2010. Since then I have gone through alot of things, and for a while lived a worldly life. Since a year back I have been trying to come back to the place of 2010, when I had deep peace, joy and meaning in my life. As I have moved closer to the Lord I am started to feel fear. I don't know why. Sometimes I think I'm no longer saved, but I don't know. It would be natural for the unsaved man to be afraid of the truth, right?

Advice would be appreciated.

God bless,
Peter
Fear is from the enemy ignore it and pray against it. I struggle with that aswell. It's also the most common tactic the enemy likes to use. Carry on and finish the walk, Christ is coming soon! Talk to the Lord about how you feel and what your struggling with.

Well lovey dovey Christianity isn't the whole story now is it ? No, there is fear and trembling before the Lord, it's called conviction. You're feeling conviction of the Holy Spirit ( the single most powerful entity in the world). What is needed is you agree with God and walk with Him. You need not return to what you once had only, because He can well take you beyond that. Confess your sins daily, agree with God and stand up to walk your walk with Him. Been there done that !! His kind of love is different than ours, He chastens in love too. You wouldn't be feeling this if you were not His.

What you have written is very comforting and also encouraging. I'm one easy to worry. Be blessed dear brother!

Does the Bible give us hope during times of fear and uncertainty? What is the significance of unusual events like the coronavirus pandemic, large earthquakes and pestilences like the one in Africa? What solution does God give to face the uncertain times we live in?

Turning to the Bible During Uncertain Times
Hi; good to see you.

Romans 8 is a stirring, assuring chapter.

Luke 22 contains the institution of the Lord 's Supper for the church; in chapter 21 the Lord Jesus refers to coming pestilences, although these are not particularly linked with the church.

As Paul says, it's good to remember we show the Lord's death here 'till He come'.

The writer to the Hebrews exhorts believers to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2), in the light of the many trials and tribulations through which the Old Testament saints were preserved, as mentioned in Hebrews 11.

Hi Peter,
I don't really like to give advice...however, you should read The Prodigal Son in Luke 15.
God is always waiting for us with open arms.

My two comments would be this:

First, a person that is not saved does not worry about it...the mere fact that you worry about not being saved shows that you are.

It's scary to be in the world and be affected by the world....but this is how it is..we will always be affected by the world in one way or another. The important fact to remember is that we are not PART of the world..but we are sons of God.
Galatians 3:26
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Also, it seems to me that the closer we get to God the more we see the brilliant light and the more we may feel like a sinner. This is normal and this feeling only shows that we understand how holy God is.

I don't know anyone that feels holy or worthy of God's love...but we can trust what God has told us.
John 3:16

Hey, I’m struggling too. The fear of sin and past life kills me. But don’t desire you wish you were at 2010 again, Because 2010 pointed to 2020. It’s so easy to fall and return to old ways but Christ has mended us fully. I’ve been scared to move into a deeper relationship with God because what if I say something bad and that paralyzes me. Don’t fear. Jump. He’ll catch you. There is an entire future waiting for you in His eyes. It may not be easy but it’ll certainly be worth it.
God Bless, your sister in Christ.

Welcome back to the fold, zoidar, I too fear the Lord, I fear that if I can't live up to the expectations of God, I will be punished or go to hell or be what it says in the scripture 'least in the kingdom of heaven'.

I get anxious. I talk about it on the forum wishing for help and discussion with me. I want spiritual Christian help.
I don't get anxious for everything I post, only the ones if I stated that I was anxious in.

It depends on what you are scared of.
If it is God revealing himself or his secrets to you, then you will be scared
In the Book of Gospel of Thomas Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will rule over all.
From my experience, the truth about God and his kingdom scared me at first but now i am rejoicing from the knowledge.
Never stop seeking the Truth because in the end the Truth shall make you free
May God Bless You
