• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have bad thoughts and very worried that I have committed the
unpardonable sin. I see many defintions for that, how can anyone
know? Seriously frightened here. When I try to pray or read
the Bible I just keep getting this feeling that it's too late. I want
to follow Jesus and alway's believed although my walk with the
Lord hasn't alway's been what it should have been. I read John
3:16 and just feel this wallblock, like it's true enough but not for
me. The Bible is truth but no longer applies to me I fear. Can
anyone help?

Hey Worrier,
Sorry for the pain this is causing you. It's all too familiar to a lot of us on here. So how have you been able to manage some of your other OCD themes in the past? Therein will lie the clue as to how to handle this one.
Praying for you.

I want to thank everyone for their reply. Have had OCD for years and mostly
just function with it. No meds..... was in therapy for awhile but stopped that also.
About ten years ago had a major flare up and checked in to a mental health facility
as an outpatient. Don't remember what meds I was given but the daily therapy
seemed to help and I guess it just ran it's course. As I said I alway's have OCD and
it takes different forms and I guess I just 'managed' at least until this flare up.
