  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

1Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

also Romans 8
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with His Son also freely give us all things?

also 2 Corinthians 1:18But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not "Yes" and "No." 19For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes." 20For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

I can think of about a 2 dozen more!

Hey everyone I thought it would be cool if everyone threw their favorite verse in so that who ever is looking for awesome verses would have a place:)
I have many that I like, but the verse that sums up the O.T. for me is Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more then burnt offerings.

Isaiah 53

All we like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us to his own way
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

I love this one. It rymes in english; it reads kinda like a haiku; its prophetic; it's a simple Gospel message; and it's just beautiful.

i have a few

Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to life, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Jeremiah 29:11 " I know the plans I have for you," delares the lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.:

2 Peter 1:20-21 Above all you must understand, that no prophecy of scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation. Prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the holy spirit.

The LORD is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and wrath. He takes revenge on all who oppose him and furiously destroys his enemies! The LORD is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet. At his command the oceans and rivers dry up, the lush pastures of Bashan and Carmel fade, and the green forests of Lebanon wilt. In his presence the mountains quake, and the hills melt away; the earth trembles, and its people are destroyed. Who can stand before his fierce anger? Who can survive his burning fury? His rage blazes forth like fire, and the mountains crumble to dust in his presence. The LORD is good. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him. But he sweeps away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He pursues his foes into the darkness of night. (Nahum 1:2-8) :preach:
