Get past most of the first season and I think B-5 is as strong as any other sci-fi show/ movie thats been done. Definitely worth watching.
You can say the same for Enterprise! I've been re-watching some from season one, and some of them are pretty weak.

Yeah, Enterprise was actually pretty good this season. I heard the finale is going to tick people off though. Something about it all being a holodeck simulation of Riker and Troi. But rumors are just that, rumors.

I like Star Trek because it has a message beyond what is shown on the screen. I like the different species of humanity, especially the Klingons and the Andorians.

Gene Roddenberry was a genius!

Hey, if those two are in it, then my expectations are down anyway! Especially Troi...

Good post! I always like the social messages in Trek going all the way back to the Original Series. They tackled racial issues when it wasn't popular to do so! Kirk and Uhura kissing was the first inter-racial kiss on TV (I think...).

My favorite sci-fi is definitely Star Trek. I've liked it ever since I was little, the nerd in me I guess. I liked the characters, the technology is so awesome, and it made me wish I could live in that universe. It was almost like Gene Roddenberry was inventing an ideal for humanity to strive towards, at least Earth in the 24th century seems peaceful.

Star Trek is the best!! I love it!
I love nearly all sci-fi.
The Stargates are brilliant. I can never get enough of them either.
Battlestar Galactica is really cool too (the new ones).
Star Wars is pretty good. Not the best, but they action and visuals are stunning. Plus they have some really cool games ex.Knights of the old republic.

Today? Definitely, SG-1. The characters are interesting and so are their adventures. They don't appear to take themselves too seriously and I find this refreshing. It's look is completely modern. However, I cannot ignore the 60's either. Star Trek was fantastic for it's time and Kirk, Spock and McCoy were certainly originals. The original Twilight Zone was also excellent and perhaps nowadays underrated.

Farscape is my favourite show of any kind of all time. Imaginative stories that made you think, great effects, lots of humour, characters you cared about, and the greatest love story in television history.

Star Trek TOS was ground breaking and original. I liked TNG better because it was more 'realistic' in it's actions. No, the Captain does not go on landing parties to unexplored planets :D

The new version of Battlestar Gallactica is very gritty and intense. Much better than the comic book original.

Star Wars has lost a lot of it's glitter with the last two movies but the first three were great and I'll admit I'm looking forward to the next one. Looks like it will add some edge back to the series.

*gasp* Hate Star Trek? I can fathom Star Wars, but Trek? Where's my phaser? ; )
LOL, here's one you can borrow! If that doesn't work, how about my Bat'leth?

Most definately my favorite Sci-Fi show is Star Trek. For me it's not too hard to pick a favorite series: TOS is the best. Then VOY, DS9, and TNG. (ENT doesn't rank on my list at all!)

I do like Star Wars, though. I'm not really fond of the latest movies, but the three original were great.

P.S.
The Trekkies beat the SW fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (on the poll) 8-11 so far!
