Why oh why didn't I remember this one?

And I'm the one who is always waiting to see the back story of how he ended up in that wheel chair.

My personal guess will be that you watched 2 years worth of season in a few months and that you didn't tape and rewatch "Walkabout" 10-15 times like I did.

In relation to this...it was shocking when I found out that the woman he was spending time with was named "Helen".

Remember that scene when he was sitting on his bed, talking on the phone? That scene is SO SAD.

That "Helen" was a phone sex operator was less of a revelation than the paralysis, but in terms of Lost backstory, it was teir 2. That his pre-paralysis girlfriend was named Helen was much more interesting. And I had really grown to love Locke as a bad"posterior" during the first few shows - I was convinced he was military or CIA so the first 1/2 hour of "Walkabout" just sucked me in - that I hated to see him trying to get "Helen" to come on the trip with him.

That said, after 2 seasons and the myriad of plot changes that have occured I still have two favorite characters and their both original Lostaways - Locke and Sayeed. And I think a large part of the credit has to go to Terry O'Quinn and Naveen Andrews for being such excellent actors.

No, Helen wasn't a phone sex operator. Locke just called that woman Helen. He met Helen at his "anger management" class.

Now that I reread it, I see I typed that out wrong. I put "Helen" in quotes both to indicate that she (the phone sex "Helen") was more of a fantasy than really his girlfriend and that it was her pseudonym she was using.

Okay, I need help. This guy told me that

a) Jack and Claire are brother and sister??

b) Libby's husband was killed by Hurley making that dock collapse and now she's out to get him, except that she couldn't cause she was killed.

anyone have any thing to either back of disprove this. I would very much appreciate it!!!

Really should have started a separate thread for this. there are uncomfirmed spoilers from dubious sources claiming such, though.

Back to on topic...

1) The mere fact there were survivors at all (and that guys death in the airplane engine in the pilot episode.)

2) Initial encounter with the monster - particularly where it snatched the pilot.

3) Lockes encounter with the monster - and the fact that he lived.

4) Boones encounter with the monster - and the fact it was actually a mind game of some sort.

5) The true nature of the `black rock'.

6) Artz going `boom' (I thought this guy had potential, too).

7) Opening to season II - that the guy going about his normal routine was actually in the Hatch and not somewhere else.

8) Blast door map

9) Anna Lucia and Libby getting shot by Michael.

Every time I see Locke looking at the blast door, I can't help myself, the first thought that comes into my mind is...

"Blue Man Group"

^_^ But shouldn't he have, depending on whether you saw him in 2000 or 2004 have either a roll of paper towels or a big piece of PVC pipe and some drumsticks? ;)

(Not a fan of performance art, but big fan of Blue Man Group.)

Agreed, my favorite scene. Close second was the light coming on when John was pounding on the Hatch.
Oh my gosh, TOTALLY!!!

I've never actually seen them perform, only seen the pictures and the commercials.

It's just seeing this bald guy, in blue light...I think Blue Man Group before I can even help myself! ^_^
