It appears they'd been living apart (in Colorado) at least as of late, and I've read that Jason sicced his dog on the process server.

Twitter has photos of her with a Chad Kroeger lookalike who some suspect is her new boyfriend.

Boebert is well known for her pro-family positions making this yet another example of the Do as I Say party, well, being who they are.

I found a reliable source, ahem, that reveals the lookalike, which is some Christian artist who has similar hair as Kroeger once had. It also suggests that her new love interest could be Majorie Taylor Greene. Given the political right's love of slippery slopes, it makes sense. The next thing you know, she'll be reading books to children dressed as a dude with good fashion sense.

As much as I disagree with her politics and public antics, I'll respect her family's privacy....divorce is a painful time for any family.

“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process,” the congresswoman said in a written statement. “I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.”

“This is truly about irreconcilable differences. I do not intend to discuss this matter any further in public out of respect for our children, and will continue to work hard to represent the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.”

The article goes on to quote from her book:

Boebert detailed her relationship with Jayson, 42, in her book, “My American Life.” She wrote that she was 16 and working at Burger King when she met her future husband and “fell in love … immediately.”

“Four months after we met, Jayson and I went off to get married,” Boebert wrote, explaining that the couple was turned away in Las Vegas because Boebert was too young. “For any ‘Karen’ who may be reading this, Jayson and I broke no Colorado laws with our relationship, despite what you might be thinking.”

Boebert added: “This was no shotgun wedding.”

Boebert’s first son was born in 2005, when she was 18.

Also note: Her oldest son will be a dad at age 18.

Is there evidence that Lauren Boebert has pursued her divorce in bad faith or for selfish or trivial reasons? If not, why are we condemning her for this?

There are allegations of infidelity on her part. I think the condemnation comes about from her claiming family values and setting herself up as a representative of that only to have her hypocrisy revealed.

What bothers me is how she tells other women that Jesus is the fix for all marital problems. But when the rubber hits her road, that goes out the window. I really dont like moralizers who elevate themselves by preaching ridiculous standards in ignorance.

I dont hold the actual divorce against her at all.

I think the bad faith is more how she presents herself to the public and is pretty quick to condemn others and then we hear about this hypocrisy (kinda like the issue around her 17yr old son becoming a dad while being a family values candidate). It gets tiring having to politically disagree with someone who consistently disagrees with herself too.

Regardless, I actually feel bad for her kids. All of them. They didn't choose for their mom to get into politics and this divorce.

So it's the hypocrisy that we are faulting her for, not the divorce. Fair enough.

As for her teenage son becoming a father - unless she herself is also the mother of that child, I don't know why that would be evidence of hypocrisy.

If I can be honest, I have only ever heard the "family values" crowd saying terrible things about single parents and teen parents. Encouraging, praising, striving for and hoping for teen pregnancies is......in my view, pretty twisted.

I recognize that the option, once pregnancy happens, is abortion and that this options, in certain communities is guaranteed to get you into trouble. So now we have these poor girls who have the pressure of being a mom at 16 because their community would shun them. I think that her approach through all this, though nice for her SON, may not be that great for the baby momma. We don't know her situation.

How much privacy has she and her wing of the party given other groups targeted because of claims about their sins? Seems a bit hypocritical for her to be left alone to live her life while at the same time dragging others into the public view to score cheap political points.

None but we can strive to be better than her.

Well..."strive". It's not that hard. Her behaviour is pretty abhorrent. We just have to act better than her.

I only know of her. I don't know her or her situation. But I do not like the hypocrisy. We all have our issues. But she, condemns others but does not look in the mirror at herself. She wants to live her life as she sees fit,, but deny the rights of others to do the same.

She doesn't believe in sex education. That's an issue. And she likes to stick her nose in people private business.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Alot of Christians seem to have had multiple sex relationships, affairs, divorces and abortions. But the hypocrites love to force their pretend morals on everyone.

Democratic politicians demanded that everyone stay at home during the pandemic and not even go to the grocery store. The same Democratic politicians then traveled to vacation spots, held large dinner parties and received fancy haircuts while claiming they were too important to abide by such restrictions or even outright ignored them.

It's unfortunate that the Boeberts could not live up to the ideal of lifelong marriage but that is failure to reach a goal and not willful and flagrant hypocrisy.

That's inaccurate.

This happened.

It's difficult to blame her for divorcing her abusive husband.
