• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

They just added those courses. I can't wait to see how it goes. What's your major?

Right now Library Technology. I'm going to get my AA in that, and complete the IGETC thing so I can transfer to a 4 year college I want.
At the 4 year college my major will be Bible with an emphasis in Biblical Languages. If I don't get into that college, then I'll go to a different christian one, and have a major in bible somehow.

What's your major?

My major is business with a concentration in information systems. That's great do you work at your library yet? What do you plan on doing with your biblical degree?

I work in my church library (I have since I was like 15), but I'm going to try to get a job at a public or a school library soon.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with my bible degree. I want to be a missionary, I'm praying about it. But anyway, I plan to use it however God wants me to. I'm just not entirely sure what yet. :)

I registered about a month ago. Here's what I'm taking:

Physics 571 - Advanced Electricity and Magnetism
Physics 591 - Quantum Physics I
Physics 501 - Oral Communications (basically "how to be a TA")
Physics 502 - Introductory Research Seminar
Math 426 - Mathematical Methods for the Physical Sciences

So basically I've got three real classes and two nap times (I'll let you guess which is which). Not to mention that I have to teach the discussion sections two classes also. So far I've just been doing research all summer, this is the first time I actually have to take classes in graduate school. Hopefully I'll do all right!

Oh, and good luck to all the college freshmen in here too. I can remember when I was back there. I'm sure you'll all have a fun semester.
