I have mental illness that drags me down but I also have peace, love, and joy. I dont even understand what's going on. I'm forced to walk by faith not by sight. How do I know it's not God's chastening? If so, for what? Or is it mental illness or demonic oppressiom? I don't know. So I push forward like a soldier. It's all I can do. Anxiety overwhelms me. I will pray now. That's the answer. Things will be ok.

I love the Lord. My joy is a gift. I have battles of the mind and I don't know why. But I have love too. That seems to give me faith maybe. I don't know.

It's not God that hurts us. If things hurt us and seem bad, we may be going through a storm that leads to a bright day. But God never only breaks us down, unless it is to build us up. We are in a war, and we have a good Father who sent Lord Jesus to die for us. Our Father did not take Lord Jesus' cup of torture on the cross from Him when asked to do so, but it wasn't because He doesn't love God the Son, but for a greater reason... to obtain many Sons and Daughters and to give Lord Jesus a Kingdom and glory that shall never end. (Hebrews 5:8)

Feelings are liars, God has told me many days. The enemy can affect our thoughts, but our decision of what we focus on is the most powerful driving force in our mental energy, which is why we need to stay focused on positive scriptures and promises God has promised.

Good friends are hard to find. It may even be harder to be a good friend to many people, because the world has damaged so many of us, and so many have grown cold or somewhat numb in our heart through suffering or hardships.

Our King is a friend to all of us, and I ask people all the time... "Who's your best friend?"

If they don't know, I tell them. Usually, because I ask often, they know and are reminded and smile back at me before replying. "Jesus!"

Being a friend to others is hardest when we feel down and unloved. When we are reminded of Christ's love for us, it can make it much easier to share the love we clearly see God has for us.

Sometimes we have to be a friend, to have any friends at all, because most people these days don't know what being a friend is.

The disciples weren't the best friends a person could have, being they all ran away but one. But Lord Jesus held none of it against them, not even Peter after denying Him.

I read Matthew 27 when I need to be reminded how much God loves me, and what my best friend Lord Jesus done for me and how much He loves me.

Often, reading chapter 28 happens also, because who can stop there? The resurrection is awesome.

You'll have friends in church, it's important to get into a good Bible believing soul winning church, make friends and get support so you're not all alone. Satan will have a field day with you if he can keep you isolated. You need the support of your brothers and sisters in your church to help you, pray for you, counsel you and support you. You shouldn't isolate, friends can only be made if you get out there and get to know your family in Christ.

I have a lot of peace, joy, and love despite the mental illness and its battles that I endure. Praise the Lord O my soul. Praise the Lord.
