Well everthing is based on the negative facts just to make bush look bad. If you only provide the negative facts of course its gonna make the peson look horrible. Im sure you could do that to almost any one.Pseud said:Two things: 1 - every thing in the movie was based on a fact. That fact was also presented to you.
2 - Is the movie biased? Yes. Is the Bush administration biased? Yes. Proof? The amount of factual information that was NOT presented to the general public regarding 9/11 and the war on Iraq. Stuff that Moore presents to you.
Conclusion - Don't follow blindly.

I'm sorry this is no where near a valid comparison. Hezbollah, a terrorist organization, wants to use their funds to promote a movie that will get more Muslims riled up against America.PianoIsland said:Start asking Charles Manson for his list of favorite movies so that you can ask for your money back on those, too.
Wow, what an insightful comment. My massive amounts of evidence cannot stand against this mathmatical equation pulled out of your butt.mnmcandiez said:michael moore = poo
actually I was in the gulf, junior......PianoIsland said:Unless you're in the armed forces and have actually seen combat, zip it and stop taking the credit of your fellow countrymen who actually did the fighting.
well...supposed to be true anyway.Patdoggydogg said:key word... 'documentary'
sence its a DOCUMENTARY its true.
so...those who believe everything in a movie without questioning it are the smart ones? that sounds a bit silly. you are saying the ones who actually question what they read and watch are the stupid ones?Patdoggydogg said:and to all of you who go see this movie, and dont belive it, thats just ignoriance and stupidity.
to all of you who dont see this movie and clown on michael moore- again...your ignorant and stupid
my friend, you are asking for the use of common sense in distinguishing one thing from the other, and that is asking too much.ps139 said:I'm sorry this is no where near a valid comparison. This is quite a bit different than a serial killer's list of favorite movies.
I agree with this. The movie looks way liberal, and I tried to watch the other movie this guy did. I believe it was called Bowling for Columbine. I couldn't watch it - just very liberal, and I'm more in the middle.TriZz said:hmmmm...didn't work, well here's the verse...
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Someone asked why I say this.....I believe it to be true because he (MMoore) wouldn't be saying and doing the things he said if he did have a genuine fear and reverence of who our Almighty God is. He wouldn't fabricate a movie to lie to get people to hate Bush and clean American values, even more than many people already do. He wouldn't liken President Bush to Saddam Hussein (an evil dictator) who gassed his own people. He characteristically speaks against Christians and conservatives(aka the "religious right") as degrading society. His hate for President Bush (and America) is evidence of this. To paraphrase something MM recently said, he felt that the more liberal the country becomes the better off it will be. Basically, the further from God we go the better we will and can become. This is the spirit of anti-christ as spoken of in 1 John 2:22 and 4:3 -'Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. And...every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.'
President Bush has professed his faith in Jesus Christ and is attempting to appeal to Christians more than most presidents might. I am going to take the heat on this from the left, but Bush's support from Bible believing Christians and conservatives, is in itself, why I believe he is so despised today by pagans (aka non-believers).
Does it bother anyone that the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah wants to support this movie and spread it in the Middle East???

I think it's interesting how Saddam hates GW as does MMoore and those of the liberal anti-God persausion. Have yet to figure out which one hates him more.
Name one politician or president who doesn't do the same thing.Acquired Tastes said:Maybe Moore didn't exactly lie, but I'm sure he stretched the truth as far as he could.
Anybody who goes to a movie theatre expecting balanced political comment needs their head read as far as I'm concerned. Moore is a polemist who wants people to react. You have to know where he's going overboard and overstating his argument.Like in Bowling for Columbine, Moore gave the impression Charlton Heston made his "cold, dead hands" speech in Denver right after the Columbine shootings, when the speech actually took place a year later in North Carolina. Moore doesn't come out and say the speech took place in Denver, but he sure makes it look like it did.
I for one am not going to waste my time or money on Moore's film.
