Fable?

Anyone else playing? My wife picked up my preorder for me this evening and I got a 30 minute taste before I have to go to work. So far it looks really sweet. Can't wait for this looooong night to be over. Guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

my bro reserved it and got it yesterday. Seems pretty good, lots of little effects and things that make the game great. Plus, all the things you can do makes for a long game experience.

I am interested in getting Fable, however its M rating is stopping me. Is language really common? What about the sexual references? If you could give me information on these it would be very helpful. THANK YOU!

for an M rating, language and the suggestive/sexual themes teamed with lots of blood and gore are common traits for these types of games.

Yes i understand that. However, I have a few games that said it had language, but there were very few words heard. The same goes for sexual references. I was just wondering if Fable is filled with them, or if they are just scattered about, not happening very often.

About the only bad language I've heard so far is stuff like "Just where the 'ell d'ye think y'er goin'?" or "Where's that d**n thing at now?" Salty but not vulgar.

I have to admit that I've made a few ladies swoon and ask if it's getting hot. I'm actually engaged to a nice young barmaid and am escorting a group of merchants through Darkwood for 2000 gold so I can buy a marriage house.

Amazing game. I highly recommend it.

I've been playing it and I like the game too, though I will say that it isn't quite all it was hyped up to be.
As far as the sexual themes...you can flirt, etc. Then you can get married and you can take your wife (or other) into your home and the question is posed..."Do you wish to sleep with your wife?" Etc.

Overhyped. It's a good game, but nowhere near as great as all the hype would lead you to believe. The areas that you have to explore are too restrictive. Everything is paths everywhere. I would have like the world to be more open.

It's not bad though.

No. Spouse asks if you want to go to bed, you get yes/no prompt, fade to black screen, giggle/sigh, giggle/sigh, giggle/sigh, then fade back to wherever you were.

Yeah, the zones are way too small for my taste but I'm still having a crazy good time with it. I wish the world of Fable had the size and openness of Morrowind. It would be just about perfect then, IMHO.

i would be nice if there was a more explorable map, but what they hey.

as for the M-rating, i think its just silly for a game looking as cartoony as that having all the blood and gore and cussing, its pointless.
Just like Halo, as serious a game as it is, having the childlike and cartoony grunts going about 'laughing' totally killing the rambo mood.

I know the RP element is stronger than I'm used to. I started a new game last night to play evil and at the first part in Oakvale I came upon the bully and the little boy with the teddy bear. Being evil I smacked the little boy and his crying and dialogue really made me feel aweful. It's going to take a bid of effort on my part but that will just add to the enjoyment. umm, I hope anyway.

All my friends have it. I do not. I am very upset about this, since I have to wait until Friday to get my copy. It's torturing me. It looks good, but it doesn't look as great as everyone said that it was going to be. In any case, I want to play very, very badly.
