I liked it a lot... till it stopped working and messed up my game. Unfortunately the people at Lionshead fail to realize that they test games before releasing them for a reason. Because they couldn't be bothered doing a whole lot of testing, there are a lot of angry players out there who are suffering from the game being so buggy. It also could have helped if they added multiple save option instead of single save. I might have been able to fix the problem if I could have had multiple files to start from rather than starting over from scratch. It's a good thing I only rented the game and didn't buy it, though this game is one of the reasons I bought a 360 to begin with.

The game itself, I liked a lot of the new features, especially the "jobs".

I don't like a whole lot about it as well. The trail instead of a map which keeps most people from actually exploring the world, the lack of real inbetween areas between the towns like the first game had, lack of armor...

Overall, while I like the game and will buy it when it comes out on PC, I think it could have been done a lot better. We'll see when they release the extended version for PC if they fix any of it.

That's for a different hero though. I mean multiple saves on the same hero in case something like this happens. Also, multiple saves are great for when you just want to start thrashing people in town, so you don't go into another part and it overwrites your save and you have to deal with it later on.

I figured you could turn it off, but there is no mini-map to take it's place so you know where you're going inside the town.

One thing I really hate about the original is that if you commit an infraction in town, then turn off the game without saving, the infraction still shows up on your stats list, at least on my old Xbox version. So in other words, I couldn't go on an unsaved rampage without reprisal.

I'm pretty sure they did the whole 'no multiple saves' thing on purpose. They wanted it to flow more story-like as opposed to a game. By not giving you the option to save your game just prior to a big split in the storyline they can preserve that feel.

I fail to see how allowing multiple saves would keep it from flowing like a story. If anything, it would prevent issues like the one that happened to myself and many others.

I agree that from a technical standpoint, it was a bit of an oversight, but with multiple save slots you can save the game prior to a major decision, make said decision, and then go back to see what would happen if you opted for a different path. By limiting the save slots, they make it more like life. There is no going back.

I thought the point of playing games was to get away from real life? :p

True. I actually did a bit of thinking on the whole save game thing when I noticed it. I recognized how bad it would suck if your file got corrupted, but overall, I like it. It makes you think a bit more about your actions.

It does damage replayablity, too. I went through it once with few of the side quests and now I'm trying to do it again with more of the side quests (finding the gargoyles is annoying me immensely) and I am having a hard time staying interested.

CDROI, here's a hint for posting on message boards:

Reviving old threads (posting in old threads that haven't been active for months or years) is generally looked down upon. Check the date of the latest post in a thread before adding to it.
