Then your point ... that science has all of reality to support it ... can take a hike.

If science has all of reality to support it, why does the moon have six different 'realities' as to how we got it?

And if it only has one 'reality' supporting it, why does that 'reality' share itself with five other theories?

Geez, how blind are you? Read what I said, because it answers your question.

We have some evidence, and there's several different explanations which fit the evidence. But there's not enough evidence to eliminate all of them. So there are several theories, all of which match THE EVIDENCE WE HAVE AVAILABLE. Once more evidence becomes available, we will be able to eliminate some of those theories until we only have one left.

See that bit? It answers your question.

Open your eyes next time and pay attention.

And with that, sir, I bid you adieu.

I shall retreat to read-only mode and enjoy the epilog.

FALSE!!!

God killed all the super wicked men in the flood. The only people who survived were Noah and his family, who God said were nice folks.
No. Nice was not a word used. God spared sinful man using the best folks he could find.

Gen 6: 7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

So tell me, if the only people who survived were righteous, where did the wicked people come from?
Look how fast man was racing to evil again right after the flood! Trying to build a tower up to the spiritual area! Man had to be limited. It seems that the plan of God took that into account. The different nature we see after the flood resulted in wicked man only living some 100 years or so rather than the 1000 or so!

Obviously, the idea was not to eliminate sin with water, but to reduce it, basically. Jesus Himself told us that in the last days of man, the world again would be in a condition like the pre flood days!

You should stop declaring victory, while producing epic fails. It is bound to catch up to ya.

So now God has to create yet another shift in the natural law just so he can perform more miraculous deeds - again, instead of just *doing* them?

Well, the word used was RIGHTEOUS. Kinda makes it sound like Noah WASN'T a prat, doesn't it?

Yeah! Can't let them pesky Humans build towers that high! Gee, it's a good thing none of our sky scrapers today are the height of the Tower of Babel. I'm sure God would knock them down long before they ever got that height again!!!!!

Man was wicked before. Man was wicked after. I don't really see a change there...

To reduce it? What a good job God did with that!

I'm not the one failing.

So God essentially was treating a cancer, but instead of cutting it all out, he left a bit that he was fully aware would just grow back again. Does God undertake futile activities often?

The best available no doubt. Yes Noah was a 'good' man. But I think the emphasis would be on grace.

In this state there is no spiritual area just a little ways up, notice??

Man was wicked before. Man was wicked after. I don't really see a change there...
I do. Man now lives a lot less time. Imagine if Hitler still had another 850 years to live!

You miss the forest for the trees. Since Eden and the fall God had a plan of salvation...before the world began actually if I recall! To save mankind, there had to be a culling. Just like later in the days of Sodom, there had to be a culling, or that particular sin would have spread around the world as fast as America is getting Obamified.

Or maybe the emphasis should be on God's opinion, which was that Noah was RIGHTEOUS. Whaddaya say?

I thought you said that the state changed after the flood. Tower of Babel was after the flood.

So how do you know?

Oh, that's right, you're guessing again, aren't you?

I do. Man now lives a lot less time. Imagine if Hitler still had another 850 years to live!

Except you are wrong, aren't you? Noah lived another 350 years AFTER the flood.

How nice of God to set up a situation where he'd knowingly be forced to kill those he loves. How clever of him.

Knowing that by grace we are saved through faith, and not that of ourselves, and that it was the same Jesus yesterday, I have to lean on the side of grace. Yes there was some godliness and righteousness, but that is getting off track. Besides 8 people were in that boat.
I thought you said that the state changed after the flood. Tower of Babel was after the flood.
That is my take, yes. That fits the life span curve change best, as well as the fossil record of animals migrating, etc etc.

That also is when many feel that the continents separated, and does fit as part of the dividing of stuff that went on. Also the separation of spirits from the physical plane is a key feature of the split, and that fits Babel, as well as the changes in the brain that may have led to the confusion.

Except you are wrong, aren't you? Noah lived another 350 years AFTER the flood.
Right, so that would be maybe what, 230 years or so after the split...average life span for that time pal!!!!

How nice of God to set up a situation where he'd knowingly be forced to kill those he loves. How clever of him.
To save man, He had to beat them. Cull them. Arrange that the wickedness was sufficiently checked that there would be time for the Lamb to come and the plan of God for salvation to happen. The fall and sin were not something that required some band aid fix.

So God's opinion means little to you?

That is my take, yes. That fits the life span curve change best, as well as the fossil record of animals migrating, etc etc.

Right. So when they built the tower of Babel, there was no spiritual area just a little way up, because it was in the present state.

So why was God so mad?

That also is when many feel that the continents separated, and does fit as part of the dividing of stuff that went on. Also the separation of spirits from the physical plane is a key feature of the split, and that fits Babel, as well as the changes in the brain that may have led to the confusion.

A rapid separation of the continents does not fit with the data from reality.

Right, so that would be maybe what, 230 years or so after the split...average life span for that time pal!!!!

People routinely lived for centuries in the present state?

To save man, He had to beat them. Cull them.

Yes, so many successful fathers treat their children like this.

Arrange that the wickedness was sufficiently checked that there would be time for the Lamb to come and the plan of God for salvation to happen. The fall and sin were not something that required some band aid fix.

So that there would be time...?

I thought we were dealing with an all-powerful God here. What did he have to wait for? Why not send Jesus straight after Adam and Eve ate from the tree?

Graced is like the Thanksgiving turkey, righteousness of man more like the salt and pepper I would think.
Right. So when they built the tower of Babel, there was no spiritual area just a little way up, because it was in the present state.
No I think that was right at the time!

A rapid separation of the continents does not fit with the data from reality.
Yes it does. Tweak your version of reality.

People routinely lived for centuries in the present state?
Yes. The changeover period. The lifespans were a few centuries and change for a while and dropped to present levels pretty fast.

Yes, so many successful fathers treat their children like this.
Chastisement is a sign that the parents love the child.

Right. Time for Jesus to come and time for the plan of God.

You underestimate the damage of sin to the universe. Man really has a will and choices. God knows what He is doing. Death had entered and sin to this world. Once we had stuff like adultery and Cain killing his brother, and people dying, and etc etc ...apparently some time was needed to fix it. Darn, I wish Eve would not have listened to the devil. A bit like today, I wish people would get free from the poisoned waters of so called science.

That's the creepiest statement you've made yet. Love is a better sign that parents love their child, surely? Did the mother who glued her toddlers hands to the wall and beat her love her that much more? Because that seems a minor punishment compared to eradication - by drowning, no less - of the majority of the human race. Your moral standards are truly something.

If you're so concerned about what you see as the evils of science, why are you do eager to use the direct products of the "poisoned waters"?

I use nothing that involves the fantasy past they claim. I use real knowledge and science. As for being a good parent, I am going with God, thanks.

Vague answers tell nothing.

No I think that was right at the time!

So you are shifting your idea around to make it fit, even though you are contradicting what you said earlier.

Yes it does. Tweak your version of reality.

Only a fool decides that if reality doesn't fit with his conclusions then reality must be the one to change.

Man, you make a lot of noise, but there's nothing of substance.

I ask you why it took so much time and this is the response you give me?

All you are saying is, "It took so much time because it took so much time."

It's meaningless.

How fast?
I think we can see here that it more or less levels off at the days of Peleg.

Lovely. You take what the Bible says, put it in graph form and then conclude that since the graph agrees with the Bible, they must both be correct.

The wicked are not children of God.

Doesn't God love the sinners? Didn't God create Humanity?

Funnily enough, I did. He wasn't there. I left a message, and I expect he'll get back to me about the same time as Darth Vader tells me where I can buy a lightsaber.

Can you cite other records that are known to be accurate then, for the life spans of the post flood folks?

Brace yourself. Those that seek will find. Them's the rules. He heard.
