There are plenty of things about it to warrant a dislike: pervasive profanity, some graphic violence, and a bit of questionable theology.

when the movie came out, I was more sympathetic to the Franco regime

I thought the political "real life stuff" was too black and white and the fairy tale aspect was too ambiguous
kind of like it should be the opposite, real life is tricky with lots of shades of gray, and fairy tales are for the most part morality stories to help contrast good and bad

It's also a reference to the movie Kingdom of Heaven, where some of the crusaders yell "God wills it!" whenever they set out to attack someone. I was going to post it on LotF's wall to annoy him, but apparently he has visitor messages turned off

Then I realized it fit with my avatar theme (cats), so I used it for that.

I selected it because I thought it looked nice. It's hard to tell that the flowers are made of fabric, but if you enlarge the image, it becomes obvious.

My avatar is a depiction of a female fighter (Rhonda Rousey). Its not about her, but more about the symbolism behind it. I've been through one heck of a mess, but I'm a fighter. I fight my way through even if I break down. It's just life. We have to fight through it.

I love her! She gets a bad rap, but she has an amazing spirit.
