Explain your avatar and username!

I made my CF account back when I was an art major. Username is a variant of the old one, and I haven't felt the need to change it.

Avatar is the band logo for the classic lineup of Living Sacrifice. Which also applies to me (Romans 12:1).

My avatar is a recent drawing I made of Sonic (my current favorite character) and his Eevee, Fluffy. Fluffy likes flowers so Sonic's showing her some.

I know that Sonic and a Pokemon don't belong together but there's a story behind that too. I made Fluffy way back when I was five years old, and back then I imagined all the video game characters I liked living in some fantasy world instead of in their own worlds, and I based all my stories on that for years. When I first got back to writing Sonic stories after I began placing characters where they belonged, Fluffy and Tails's Vulpix, Butterscotch, were two Pokemon I had in my older Sonic stories that I liked too much to remove. I'm now writing a series that explains how the two Pokemon got to Sonic's world in the first place.

As for my username, it's simply short for "Multiple Favorites" because I've had 14 different favorite characters. I've been using it for nearly ten years now.

My CF avatar was cropped from a screenshot of one of my 3D virtual world avatars. I work with VR, so it seemed appropriate.

Miles always struck me as a cool name. Partly because of Miles Davis, but also because of its reference to distance. Going the extra mile, miles away, miles per hour, etc. Also, inspired by Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I still occasionally think about changing my username to Giles or Niles.

My recent avatar is a picture of me with my hair which had been cut by a friend the other day!.
Anthony is the name of my favourite saint - and it's also one of my middle names!

Avatar is picture of me made very small to try to evade Google and FB's algo's. CF's auto-resize distorted the image as well.

Name from a 2009 experiment with weird and creepy wire arrangements that ouwardly looked like a small human heart and passing 100 megawatts of electricity in it (equivalent of 5000 houses) to try to force anomalies in time. Thus, I became "timewerx". It failed of course. I'm no scientist and the thing did not survive more a few firings and only freaked me out and my dog and may have caused incredibly weird anomalies in electronic devices around the house some time later.

Nice idea. I think I have a similar dress. I got it right before Christmas and wore it when I visited my aunt the nursing home and we had zoom with the family in different states. It's a plunging v-neck, my mom had to sew it up a little bit, that I found at Goodwill. I was going to wear it out of supper club with my folks but covid-19 is not that great right now.

My avatar is simple, after over 10 years of the cat anime icon, I thought it was time for a change and that I've grown a little and wanted something to reflect that. So I chose a gal holding a stack of books, just because it reflects the learning process that I'm in. And I check out books from the library sometimes 15 to 30 books at a time.

Edit addition: The name I came up with when I was first opening the account in 2007. I wanted something that was distinct and different that no one would have had. So I started searching my mind for words, maybe a little bit of a prayer from the Holy Spirit, and I heard the word Sampa. I looked it up and at the time it was a Indian girls name meaning bright flash of light. I thought it was appropriate, since Jesus is our light.

Today's definition I guess is lightning. Here is a link, but I'm not sure how appropriate it is since it includes numerology. And I don't think numerology is biblical.

MMXX is the Roman numeral equivalent of 2020, the year I joined CF.

My avatar is an image I came across that I think looks like me, and I live very near to the cost.

Anddddd, my username is pretty self-explanatory, but, my username is the first name I could think about when it came to my life and what I desired for my life to be: Shining the light of Jesus to others.

I tend to think of my life when making usernames. Even though it's not that deep, haha.

I first read it as Yoda in Star Wars and though it was shiney our light (is) had to reread it a few times to get my mind unstuck from that thinking did I yes.

My name is from a course I took in school long ago about Greek and Roman philosophy and essentially means moderation in all things reminding me to not overdo or overthink things. The picture is an animated GIF that I found online that I put through a graphics program and sharpened it up plus used a color rotating filter on it. I've had it since I joined CF and it means several things like to avoid conflict, Jesus the Prince of Peace, the Holy Spirit came down on him like a dove and to remind me not to get upset at people especially avoid conflicts and debates that don't lead to fruitful outcomes. I remind myself it is better be though of as wrong by fools than to try to prove yourself right to them and look foolish doing so.

I had to create a username on the spot for a game I was playing once. Dragon was the first thing I thought of then Fox. In retrospect I shouldn’t have used it for this forum b/c the Dragon in Revelation is evil. (Although the Leviathan in Job is basically a sea dragon & God created that & it shows God’s power & it answers to God so maybe not all biblical dragons are associated w/ evil so maybe it does fit?; I just realized that)

The avatar I found from someone else dealing w/ issues & so I thought it fit for me too. It's something to keep me optimistic I guess.
