CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Alexandria, Va. - February 2, 2016 - Dr. Carson has accepted Senator Cruz's apology issued earlier this afternoon, said A. Larry Ross, Communications Director for Ben Carson for President 2016. These 'dirty tricks' political tactics are part of the reason Dr. Carson got into this race and reflect the 'Washington values' of win at all cost -- regardless of the damage to the country -- which he is trying to change. This incident further demonstrates that we need an individual who is not a politician to lead and to heal our nation, not someone driven by ambition.

It's actually not an LOL matter.
What escalated quickly was Cruz first claimed he sought God's council before he decided to run. And since taking that council and running for the highest office in American government he has demonstrated himself incapable of upholding God's moral law; thou shalt not bear false witness. And if that command extends to false statements of any kind, he's demonstrated that as well.
What I find inconsistent in your argument here is you defend a man that can be proven to have lied in his campaign pursuits. While in the Somali airliner suicide bomber thread you take issue with a member who refuses to acknowledge the truth as pertains to that suicide bombers actions.

I am not a fan of Trump, Cruz or Carson. Trump would sandbag an opponent in a heartbeat and brag about it. Carson is too dense to pull off a dirty trick. So, regardless, the whiners need to put on their big boy knickers and deal with it.
