It would depend on what they were charged with.
Everything shows up online. Traffic tickets are worth one point, misdemeanor two points, felony three points. Resisting arrest is a felony and a bonus point. If an officer gets a car full of people with drugs he can rack up 12 points real fast. They do not have a quota but they do keep track of how many points on each officers performance report.

Yes, and it was eliminated, correct?

Now, is the requirement to pay taxes an "evil" law?

I agree it was an "evil" law.

I am researching taxes and the requirement thereof of paying them. The controversy perhaps lies in the "interpretation" of any such law, and whether it has a fer-real "leg" to stand on.

If it is oppressive and unjust and bludgeoning the masses, yes, perhaps it is an evil law and should be challenged.

Perhaps it depends on one's perspective if said law is "evil" or not.....

it was illegal with a punishment of death if one hid Jews and didn't turn them in

shall i continue?
The sheep and the goats. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+25:31-46

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

the details given...there seemed to be some controversy about them....

I don't see how - links have been clearly posted for you.

Scientists published research in which they carbon dates two different mammoths from hundreds of miles apart. They got different dates for them (as you would assume if the animals lived at different times). That is what was published in the reseach - no controversy or debate there.

Hovind however claims that only one mammoth was tested and that the two different dates 'prove' that dating methods are wrong. His claim that the two different dates are from the same animal is the lie. The scientists published research shows they were from two separate animals hundreds of miles apart. To claim that only one animal was tested and to twist this into 'evidence' against dating methods is a flat out lie.

I don't see what the controversy in the details given is?

Good, but more importantly, maybe they'll cause you to take a look at the actual evidence (or lack of) upon which your beliefs rest upon.

i have no problem whatsoever in examining ALL things. Any 'prompting" to further examination is welcome.

Thank you kindly.

The info in the link provided was not "conclusive" nor did it address if the scientists were credible or not.

Thank you kindly.

Didn't Jesus say something in the NT about paying taxes?

Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

You do realize that what you just posted opens the door to what is actually "God's", don't you?

When you determine if a scientist is credible or not, do you do it the same way you determined whether Hovind was credible?

And it firmly established Caesar is owed taxes. I don't see any reference by Jesus that says; take away what you owe Caesar and give it to God.

Better be careful what you are doing then.
I got more to worry about from my wife. She watches me closer then anyone else. I don't much worry about police surveillance. They would get pretty bored with me pretty quick.
