You are asking some very intuitive and obvious questions. If you really are interested in taking the time to discover the truth go to freekenthovind.com and you will find all of his appeals and court transcripts. After you do some investigation and read what actually happened I would love to hear your take on the case!
Have you listened to the recorded conversation between Kent and Eric, where they're conspiring to hide assets? If so, what's your opinion on that?Kent's lawyer at the time of his first trial did not believe the jury would convict him of violating structuring laws. His second trial was on contempt charges because Kent sent a Lis pendens letter from prison telling potential buyers of his Dinosaur Adventure land property that a lawsuit was pending which is perfectly legal. He was found innocent in Federal court which very rarely happens and the charges were dropped. As far as the first case is concerned they are in the process of appealing his original conviction and want it overturned!

Unfortunately for Kent, he's not able to just unilaterally declare someone a "minister," to avoid paying taxes for his employees. The law is very clear on this. Simply put, he cheated, got caught, did his time.
It appears as though, the countries you mentioned tend to do much better in science, as education of their children advance to the 12th grade. Not so in the United States.
As for evolution being taught, it is a very small portion of the entire science curriculum. Of the science textbooks used containing some 35 to 40 plus chapters, only one chapter, if that much is dedicated to evolution, of which only the basic concepts and historical aspect is taught.
That may be in some areas, but even there, I'll bet that more is going on.
Even not teaching evolution directly, how many references would there be to the ancient age of the earth and universe, and where plants and animals changed and evolved over time to become us? Throwing evolution at kids as a fact of nature, like the periodic table, is doing a disservice to education.
As for the creation science literature, who reviews that? And why is so much of it done by people writing about a specific field of science they have no background in, if they have any scientific background at all.
Do you know a way to get more people to write academic papers?
You may be surprised how many creation science journals there are today. So scientists are writing and being peer reviewed.

I assume you frequent a doctor for checkups or if are sick? Next time you do, why don't you ask them what they think about the theory of evolution and if some of their medical training (specifically in biology) was based on the theory.
It is against the law to structure your withdrawals to avoid alerting the authorities. Hovind was convicted on dozens of counts of structuring.
Can you link a paper submitted to one of these creationist journals?
Here is the archive for one. Should be plenty there.

Question: Forget who this was against. Do you agree with the government keeping that close a watch on what you do legally with your money?
How about if you carry more than a few hundred dollars and get pulled over by cops, they can take your money and you have to work to prove that you should get it back from them? They do that by claiming anyone with large amounts of cash isn't just distrustful of banks or the government, they're automatically gun runners or drug dealers.

That wasn't what I asked.
In Kent's case it was to meet payroll and other expenses.
He was not convicted of tax evasion.
His under-the-table payroll, yes. Without sending the owed FICA taxes.
He was convicted of 12 counts of "willful failure to collect, account for, and pay over federal income taxes and FICA taxes, totaling $473,818 for the 12 fiscal quarters of 2001–2003."
If you want to quibble semantics, feel free, but those are the convictions.
