  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On another not @sfs have you seen the website tolweb.org? With the tree of life?
I have indeed. (Huh. I just looked at their entry for Plasmodium falciparum and it's out of date. Oh well.)

Creationism is a faith, evolution is a science.

One can have faith and see the evidence of a very old earth that has been host to many epochs of living things.

The Ancestors of the Jews wrote and rewrote a spectacular history about themselves in response to the Babylonian captivity. Like Lucifer they elevated themselves high above their cousins in the region. The nationalist, religious, political propaganda books that they brought back to Jerusalem after the captivity, were petrified into "The Word of God" by the priest class. There they have been marooned ever sense!

Creationism is a faith, evolution is a science.
Having a little trouble with suffixes, are you?

Here, let me use the same grammatical style you did:

Creation is a part of earth's history; evolutionism is a religion.

But yours is dishonest. Genesis is a faith that persists despite evidence to the contrary. Evidence which requires purposeful misunderstanding if not outright dishonesty.

After the war ended Onoda spent 29 years holding out in the Philippines until his former commander traveled from Japan to informally relieve him from duty in 1974.[1][2] He held the rank of second lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army.

AV, you are relieved of duty as defender of YEC. The war is over, you lost.

You guys need to take it easy, or someone will have a Tic Tac attack.

You need to take a step back and reflect on how unwilling you are to learn anything about the topic you so passionatly argue against.

You need to reflect on the fact that you passionatly argue against a subject you literally do not understand.

Many of us have tried really hard to explain to you the implications of being able to find transitional fossils (like Tiktaalik) by prediction based on evolution theory and evolutionary history.

NOT ONCE have you addressed that implication. Instead, only rather silly attempts at ridicule (like calling it "tic tac") and arguments "against" it by literally INVENTING and assuming things, by accusing scientists of being liars (without justification), by misrepresenting the science, by simply lying about the science, etc etc.

It's absolutely ridiculous.

And all that Sunbin furnished was based on conjecture. Like you said evolution being sold.

Macro-assemblages in story form is the best they can offer.

These guys on CF do not know when to quit or admit. The are hooked evolutionists. Now it is about 30 of them against you, one. And this is all they will post. Trying to convert you with lack of fossil-based evidence. It is fossils + conjecture= evolution, if they would be honest.

But they have grouped against you, and as a group think they have won. But the fossil record shows evolution never happened.

They keep up their faith, and overpromote it.

But good seed in good soil endures persecution .......

Maybe you care to answer the question........

If the evolution model is false, then how come it can be succesfully used to literally predict both the locality and feature set of previously unknown fossils?

How is it possible that finds like Tiktaalik (a previously unknown creature) can literally be predicted based on evolution, if evolution is false?

When I finally realized all was based on conjecture, had a dynamic baptism by God's Holy Spirit, I called guys like you around me at that time "followers of men". And their tenets.

Look again at your last 20 posts. Yes Grace needs to turn you too.

How is it possible that based on evolution, science is able to predict both the locality as well as the feature set of a previously unknown creature like the Tiktaalik fossil, if evolution is false?

He knew the time frame that he wanted to explore.

He found three areas in a geology textbook that were made up of primarily 375 million year old Devonian outcrops.

He went to one of them and found a 375 million year old strange creature, plugged it in his macro evolution model, did TV shows and sold books.

Doesn’t that pretty much sum it up?

No.

The Tiktaalik fossil find was predicted in both locality and feature set ahead of time.
This prediction is 100% based on an evolutionary history of life.

Without an evolutionary history of life, there isn't a SINGLE reason why this fossil would have been found there, in the place, in that time frame, with those features.

Yet, it was found. How can that be, if evolution is false?

And yours isn't?

Yours calls the earth "Urantia."

In your opinion, does Earth's history line up with science's version of Earth's history?
I'll see your Onoda and raise you a Yokoi.

Shoichi Yokoi
No, the science community isn’t being dishonest in presenting the fossils that are discovered within the geologic column.

You claimed Genesis is a science while insinuating the fact of fossils are faith?

Analysis of the earth, it’s age, the bones of ancient men and other forms of life burried over it, doesn’t look anything like the creation story created in Juda-ism.

So alls you can do is keep filibustering, heckling, change the subject, blame Satan etc.

Calling Genesis science is like calling Bill Gate's diary a computer manual.

There was no science whatsoever involved in the creation of the universe.

Science is an observation of what is. Genesis is a story of origins created in ignorance, it’s a faith held onto out of stubborn religious pride.

Science is an observation of what is.
And a myopic observation at that.

Just don't tell me I claim it is science, or I just might correct you again.

Only magic.
I'm not convinced even you believe that.

Chances are I'll see you somewhere else demanding evidence for the creation week ... or equating the creation week with fossils ... or the Flood ... or some other historical event that came after those six days.
